A 22 ounce bomber bottle poured into a shaker glass. The porter appears a clear chestnut color with about two fingers of ecru foam. Nose and flavor consist of hazelnuts of course, as well as bittersweet chocolate, milk chocolate, various toasted nuts, caramelized malt. A tad better than medium bodied with ample carbonation. Decent stuff.

2000 beers and no end in sight. This porter is a mostly clear dark brown-black color with a medium thick and rocky light tan head that diminishes steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Strong hazelnut and peanut brittle aroma with a touch of malt. Medium-bodied and chewy at times with flavors of hazelnut, malt and chocolate, with lightly bitter hops in the background. The finish is more hazelnut with a nutty and cocoa-flavored aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
