Pours Brown. Thin, off white head that Fades immediately.
Smells faint roast malt, caramel and coconut hints.
Taste light roast, chocolate hints and light coconut. Finishes dry with a roast and light earthy linger. Lightrr body and fizzy medium carbonation.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours hazy dark brown color with a 1 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some light streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of milk chocolate, toasted coconut, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, vanilla, light coffee, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of milk chocolate, toasted coconut, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, vanilla, light coffee, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal hop and roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, toasted coconut, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, vanilla, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/bready, and slightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is good. A little thin, but not too bad. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice coconut porter style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. This had restrained but still very noticeable coconut presence, which I really liked. A very enjoyable offering.

Look - really not a pretty beer. Looks like flat root beer with traces of head.
Smell - faint whiffs of the toasted malt and slightly artificial coconut. Not promising.
Taste - much better than the smell - coconut and Malts combine for a quick flash of great flavor, but vanish quickly.
Body - also a demerit on this. The flavors work, but the body is far to loose and slippery on the palette.
Overall - the flavors work and there is something to work with. Would almost want to try an imperial version of this beer before returning to this one again

Served on tap in a shaker pint glass.
L- Dark black, not light coming through, light brown head.
S- Light roast, chocolate, light coconut.
T- Similar to aroma, not too much coconut, chocolate, or roast.
F- Medium.
O- Very nice beer, the flavor is not overpowering to be a dessert beer.
