Cloudy amber with a medium white colored head.

One sniff and you can tell they made this like a German brewer would, proper Hefeweizen yeast was used. Smells of green banana and clove as it should. Dusty yeast aroma. This is what a German Hefe smells like.

Starts out tasting of banana and cloves. Slight tart taste. Mildly sweet. Dead on taste for the style.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall a well made German Hefeweizen made in America.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a bit of a white head that soon dissipates.

Smell is banana and clove, and a bit of malt.

Fruity and bubblegum like at first. The banana and clove notes then asset themselves, leaving a nice spicy aftertaste.

Feel is nice and solid, quite a bit of a tingling sensation from the carbonation.

One of the best examples of the style I have had, and maybe the best non German version. They managed to nail the style very accurately, this tastes like it could have been made in Germany. I'd have no trouble drinking it again.

16oz canned 4/27/17 poured into a tall wheat beer glass at fridge temp 4.8% ABV 12 IBU. The beer pours a bright straw yellow with almost no yeast haze. There is a short lived head of off white color that recedes to a ring and skim coat atop the beer. Aroma is clove first followed by banana. The flavor follows exactly with clove at the forefront and banana coming in second. Mouthfeel is soft, medium bodied and gently carbonated. The finish is mostly dry with no bitterness. Overall, very good. Hefeweizens can be too much for me sometimes. I'm not a huge banana fan and these are sometimes banana bombs. This is a more restrained example.

I bought this on a whim because I liked the look of the can and I felt like drinking something German. Here are my impressions:
Pours a hazy straw yellow color. It is a pretty nice look except that my only reservation is that the head was quite modest and midway through disapated entirely.
At first a slightly earthy and funky aroma. However, this is fleeting as soon notes of banana, the dominant aroma, clove and lemon take over.
As with typical Hefeweizen, the flavor of banana provides a sweetness. However, I feel that this one has added layers of lemon and citrus fruit that adds a mellow tartness and a feeling of slightly sour banana. The wheat adds fullness and softness. A whisper of clove and peppery hops balanced things out. The mouthfeel is medium bodied but drinks light. The moderate carbonation adds a nice tingle.
I haven't heard of this brewery before. It is a pretty good representation of the style with a personal touch that sets it apart.

Not bad but not blowing the doors off either. Kind of has a rusty smell and initial taste. But the taste is better as you get through the first pint. It says there is a hint of banana but i dont taste it. I would say its the poor mans hacker pschoor but its more expensive for this than the hacker pshoor here.
