This is a crisp lager with character. This unfiltered/ unpasteurized beer has a pleasant hoppy funk on the end. Very drinkable!

Poured a crisp effervescent golden color with a thick frothy white head. I didn't notice any significant cloudiness to the beer even though its allegedly supposed to be cloudy. Nonetheless, gorgeous looking lager.

Smell had aromas of fresh bread, malts, with a slightly floral hop aroma. Undertones of mild yeast and spice are noted.

Taste followed the nose with flavors of fresh white bread, slight spicy yeast, with a floral and grassy hop finish. Wonderfully simple yet appropriate flavor profile for the style.

Feel is supremely drinkable, crisp, light and refreshing. Medium carbonation.

Overall a lovely example of the style. One of Urban Chestnut's flagship beers - it did not disappoint.

500 mL bottle, dated 4/12/16.

Pours a bright gold color with a frothy white head. Much more clear than I was expecting, given it's unfiltered, but still a slight haze to it. Sweet grainy malt aroma with a slight floral hop kick. Incredible balance in the flavor between the malt, hops, and yeast. Bready and grainy with a little spice and a hint of lemon citrus at the end. Smooth, crisp, and refreshing. I love the clean sweetness you get from the malt. Medium bodied, yet something I could drink all day. Phenomenal stuff.

Urban Chestnut just recently expanded distribution into NJ and my first beer from them is a total winner. Cheers to them for sending fresh bottles right from the start. More please!

BEER!! This brew literally screams/oozes of "beeriness." Doughy, crusty, slightly thick, rich, malty brew with an ever so slight floral hop bite. This is a well-made lager whose main goal in life is to be wingman for a large, fresh, cheesy thin crust supreme pizza.

Pours a mild fizzy frothy 1/2 finger head that fades at a med pace, nice lacing, a clear but sediment hazy golden honey color.

Nose brings a mild sweet lager, mild toasted lager malt, raw bread dough, little yeasty, a little mineral note, faint fruity esters, soft lager note and mild grassy hopshops.

Taste brings typical nice German lager, mild soft lager malts, little toasted malt and bread dough, light fruity esters, a little mineral, not much for layered decoction style German lager but soft, little grassy hop, floral yeasty note. Finish little sticky not very crisp, little sticky, touch of lingering hops and dough.

Mouth is lighter bod, decent carb.

Overall not bad, nothing special, nice for a hot summer day but def could improve.
