Can purchased at AJ's Beer Warehouse in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a clear golden orange, with a small head, and just a bit of lacing.

Smells like fruity and minerally yeast, bready malt, and grassy hops.

This is honestly one of my favorite styles (though I don't exactly know the different between a Zwickel and a Kellerbier?) The yeast character is killer, soft and fruity, almost berry-like, with some subtle stone fruit, too. The hop character is very mild, but just enough- a hint of grassiness on the finish, with very little bitterness. The malt is another star- it's bready, and evokes some sort of grainy and slightly sweet bread. I really dig this.

This is light bodied, and super, super drinkable.

This is an absolutely wonderful beer, and I'm really glad we're getting UC stuff now.

A well put together lager. This is definitely a clean and easy drinking european style lager. Almost every other review identifies how bready this is and I am not going to spoil the party - this really does have a major bready feel to it. Little bit of spice on the backend.

A - pours a murky orange with a thin cap of head that quickly dissipates.

S - German grains, malts, yeast, honey, bread dough.

T - Biscuity and doughy, mildly sweet, honey, grains, corny. Finishes bitter with a sweet after taste. Light to medium bodied, has a nice crisp feel.

O - Highly quaff-able lager that is worth a shot.

Notes - picked this up while visiting family in The Cape.

A solid lager. Nice looking light gold color, easy drinking, aroma is not powerful but as the beer warms become a bit skunky. Though I'm not a big lager drinker, this is something I could fall back on and certainly might serve to my lager drinking friends.

16oz bottle poured into willybecher glass bottled on 6/7

A: nice inch or so soapy white head. Body is a light gold straw color pale with great clarity

S: Smells like a pilsner with that little bit of peppery hop bitterness and a huge dose of sourdough bready quality with hints of sweetness. Has a little corn smell as well.

T: Very nice smooth bready, doughy, sweet, corn, grain taste. The aftertaste has bits of the floral and bittering hops to it.

M: Full feel yet very smooth nice on the tongue almost a little rich. The beer feels creamy yet crisp quite wonderful.

O: This is an amazing lager, its smooth, creamy, beautiful nuanced doughy a lightly bittering hops it is very balanced. Reminds me of a little of Miller's High Fortune ehich was pretty damn good.

L: Slightly hazy pale yellow color that pours a very creamy white head that dissipates medium fast and no lacing on the glass.

S: Lots of toasted bready malt, sweet honey, spicy and floral noble hops. A very enticing aroma.

T: Lots of bready malt, some hints of sweet honey. Balanced out by spicy and floral noble hops. A nice drinking beer.

F: Crips and light body a good easy drinking beer.

O: This is a really nice example of a zwickel bier and a good summer lager.

This is a crisp lager with character. This unfiltered/ unpasteurized beer has a pleasant hoppy funk on the end. Very drinkable!
