A beer we are describing as a ‘Bavarian IPA’. Brewed and dry-hopped with a variety of Hallertau ‘hopfen’… instead of the usual and more citric hop varieties of most American IPA’s… gives this beer a decidedly German twist.

Cloudy golden amber body with a plump white head and very thick lacing as we go down the glass. Grassy old world hops and lager yeast drive the nose, hints of cracker malt and citrus zest in the background. Full on lemon added in taste, but otherwise just as the smell foretold. Feel strikes a good balance with the hops, yeast and malt, all textures felt but all complimentary too. One of the better beers by UC in my humble opinion

Pale Amber color with inch of white head. Nose that of an ipa. Citrus, grassy, sweet malts. Taste fruity notes on top of orange, lemon peel, bready. Hints of piney hops. Nice clean finish. Had this at the brewery itself for a reunion. Lot of bud people were enjoying this one the most. Solid, easy to drink beer. Good one to trasition from the macros.

Pours a hazed bronze with 3 fingers of rocky ivory colored head. Stays hazed, stellar lacing & very good head retention
S: Grassyness, a little tangerine peel
T: Follows the nose, dryness as well up front. Pomelo, a little pear & grapefruit rind & grassiness as this warms. Finishes with tangerine, grassiness, & grapefruit
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, alright balance
Drinks easy, but not that memorable

Gold to straw yellow in color with significant haziness. A minuscule amount of light with get through. There's a quarter inch of dull off white soap sud head. I smell dull Hallertau hops. The flavor is a blend of amped up Hallertau hops and sourdough bread. The mouth is a bit thin and flat.

This was interesting and pretty different.
Appearance was that of many Bavarian style beers. A beautiful orange/light amber color with quite a bit of haze to it. A nice little fluffy head retained a thin soapy layer all the way to the bottom of the glass.
Smell was faint but that of grass and yeast.
Flavor was that of many Bavarian style brews, with layers of bread and yeast. There were layers of hops on top, but not the ones I am accustomed to in the US. There were layers of grass, roots, floral wildflowers, and a noticeable earthiness. The finish did not impart a hop bite, essentially no bitterness whatsoever.
Mouth feel was light to medium but with creaminess that comes with the Bavarian style of brewing.
Would Drink Again: Yes
Would Purchase Again: Yes
