Just visited this new brewpub last night. I think it has only been open for three weeks, so they are still working on their long-term vision. Their is very limited parking in front, but more behind the building and on the streets. The brewing equipment dominates the west half of the building. The equipment can be viewed through large glass windows in the shape of garage doors. The tasting room seats roughly fifty people with plenty of standing room. Seating is comprised of old printers tables that adds character, in my opinion. Walk-around bar with limited seating. All orders are made at the bar. The service is very friendly and quick.
They had six beers on tap. They were split into to sections; half were part of the revolution series and half the reverence series. The reverence is their celebration of brewing heritage and the revolution is their take on the new craft brewing scene brews. I had two beers from the reverence and one from the revolution series. They were each very good and served in appropriate glassware. $4.50 per beer, which is about average for brewpub prices in the St. Louis area. The menu is limited for the time being; pretzel roll, chips, and sausage. The three choices are all made by small local companies. Website states they open at 5 pm on Saturday, but we got there at 4:45 pm and they appear to have been open for a while, at that point. By 6:00 pm the place was packed - awesome sign for a new brewpub! Great new place that will only get better.

Vibe is awesome. Nice brick walls, exposed ceilings, cool space with a nice bar. Smallish insides seating area, but lots of room outside in the beer garden. Beer Garden is lovely. Awesome space to spend an evening drinking beer with friends.

Qaulity is great - they have full pours and tasting flights for reasonable prices. Food is also reasonably priced.

Bartenders/staff is friendly and helpful. If its slow they are happy to chat about beer.

Selection is great, They have roughly 15 of their beers on tap at any time. Also have a pretty expansive selection of their beers in bottles/sampler packs.

Food is awesome. Seriously everything I've had there was really good and paired beautifully with their beers. Their cuban sandwich is excellent.

Overall a must stop place in St. Louis. Urban Chestnut definitely has the best brick and mortar locations of any of the major craft brewers in St. Louis. I'll be stopping in here pretty often.

I visited this brewery with my family on a rainy and cold Saturday afternoon. The bar was crowded due to a beer bus tour, but the staff was friendly and there was plenty of seating. Unfortunately, the heat was not working, which made for a 'cold' environment. Still, the food was exceptional...German inspired foods. I loved the pork, liverwurst, pickled vegetable and cucumber salad. It was truly interesting and tasty. The beer from this brewery is absolutely remarkable. I had a Dusseldorf Alt that was outstanding. Small, but worth a visit.

Went for lunch on a Thursday, so didn't get to sit outside in the garden (it would have been too hot anyway), but the interior is a very nice space with probably 15 UCBC beers on tap. The warm pretzel is incredible and the cheese plate is huge.

This is a must stop place if you are in St Louis. The beer is German-style and authentic. I enjoyed the best German Pilsner that I have ever had in my life at this place. The vibe is cool and laid back and there is plenty of seating. Plenty of parking out. Biergarten in the back with lots of seating. Every beer that I tried was amazing at this place. The food is excellent and German based as well. The next time I am in St Louis, I will make sure that this is my first stop.
