Dry-Hopped American Farmhouse Ale

A warm fermentation-created and exceptionally dry, but refreshing beer with flavors of tropical fruit, bubblegum and pepper coming through in both the nose and flavor.

Pours a hazy pale yellow, small white bar pour head, good lace. Aroma light wheat makes, light horse blanket notes, light citrus notes leaning towards lemon, hints of spice. Tastes the same as the smell light wheat notes, lemon some funky horse blanket notes light tartness with lemon and spice finish. Didn't seem overly complex to start but he on me. Mouthfeel is lighter medium with peppy carbonation. Overall not bad but not great, enjoyable enough.

Can. Hazy (not murky) golden orange with lasting rocky head and lace. Peppery lemon aroma with a hint of hay and vanilla cake. Medium light fruity apricot sweetness with medium citrus and pepper bitterness in dry bit not too dry finish. Medium light body lively champagne carbo but soft. TOTALLY FUCKING EXCELLENT. Up there with the best Belgian saisons.

Light golden color in a Tulip with a 4F head.

Fruity aroma, not much spice.

Just the right carbonation, unlike some Saisons which are over carbonated.

The fruit broadens with warming.

Just then right amount of bitterness in the finish.

This beer grows on me with warming. Very well balanced. Excellent representation of a Farmhouse ale.

Had this on tap at Seymour in Greenfield, MA. The beer had a mixture of a clear and murky appearance to a mostly yellow color. Head dissipated quickly. Good mixture of aromas such as a fruits, like grapes, pears, and bananas, with wheat. The taste was pretty good with a tart-like mixture of fruits wrapped around malts. Excellent mouthfeel; very refreshing and good carbonation. Overall, good aromas and mouthfeel.

Draft at Amherst Coffee, MA.

A- Taps into a snifter with a slightly hazy golden orange body and a fluffy white head rising to a finger high. Good head retention and a large ring of lace is followed by spots below that.

S- The yeast drives much of the aroma which is overall a bit faint for a style that usually boasts a strong whiff. Peppery spice, clove, lemon, wheat bread, coriander and herbs.

T- The bitterness and yeast spice really picks up and changes the overall complexion of the brew on the palate. Yeasty pepper, coriander and slight clove spice open it up with supporting hints of orange/lemon oils, straw, bitter herbs, flowers, raw wheat grain and very slight pear banana ester. The hops contribute to all of this but blend in well rather than a distinct dry hop flavor.

MF- Silky and creamy medium body with a high and crisp level of carbonation. Dry and bitter finish.

A solid Saison but perhaps just a bit too spicy on the yeast front and dry bitter from the big ferment and hop bill.
