Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass. Summer of 2014.
Hazy body for sure, but no seriously, with an excellent bright orange almost crystal glow to it. Head is eggshell white, creamy. Rich looking and froths a simple two fingers and hangs around easily with good retention, and a one finger standing puck. Very nice looking brew, with a minor small middle column of carbonation.
Fantastic aroma. Bursts with sour apricot skin, fleshy and ripe. Juiced spicy hop tones, creating a unique almost spice fruit and dank quality. Juiced rich earth in a glass on the nose. Exotic smelling, if a bit out there.
Superior palate. Flavors and angles go all over the place with impressive taste. Juiced almost IPA fruity hop angles with a mixing light soft herbs, mint and green fresh cut grass. Juicy fruit flavors of peach, tangerine orange that seems to get big, and apricots as well. Stone and citrus, earth and sage. Throw in some soft chewy body, mild esters and a hop pleasurable juicy tone and the beer just explodes everywhere.
Real hard to classify this one as it goes into other styles with such great character it's hard to wrestle down. A saison exactly? Not really it seems at all. In the end it's a fantastic beer.

Year stamped on the label is 2014, which caused some furrowing of the brow as I blasted the cork out into the yard. But it turns out to be a delicously warm and suave beer with all the classic elements of a good Saison.
Attractive pour in the Brasserie Dupont chalice with golden yellow brew and fine-grained white foam. Creamy mouthfeel is outstanding. Pears and custard are the flavors, with some straw, toast, and a touch of blackberry seeds.
Overall this is as good a Saison as I've had in a long time. Somehow I ended up with this beer in my boxful when I walked out of Bottleworks in Seattle. Glad that I did and I

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in Summer 2014. Pours lightly hazy golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon peel, orange zest, grapefruit, pear, pineapple, apricot, white grape, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, herbal, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon peel, orange zest, grapefruit, pear, pineapple, apricot, white grape, peppercorn, wheat, crack, hay, straw, herbal, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate peppery yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange peel, grapefruit, pear, pineapple, apricot, grape, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from carbonation and yeast spiciness. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent saison style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Poured into a snifter on draft. A clear yellow, not very hazy. Smells of spices like clove, lemon peel, yeast. Taste matches the smell. Enjoyed this beer

Pours dirty gold. Hazy like the name implies. One finger head that settles to rim bubbles. Leaves a single ring of lace with some bubbles on the side.
Blonde pale ale malt aroma. There's a bit of lemon zest, coriander and nutmeg to the nose.
Light malt on the palate with a faint sourness for authenticity. The bitter hop comes in strong, like black pepper. Full bodied with a lower level of carbonation. The aftertaste is spicy with cranberry-like tartness.

Served on-draft. Hazy yellow golden colored beer. Aromas are very Saison-typical; yeast, barnyard notes, some pear. Flavor is very solid with plenty of saison yeast, peppercorn and some specialty grains. Not bad, though no where near my favorite in the style.
