Appearance - 4.25/5
Dark orange, clear. About half a finger of light beige head. A moderate amount of carbonation can be seen rising up the beer.

Smell - 3/5
Very resinous and earthy pine hops. I'm trying to decide whether or not they are pleasant and interesting or slightly gross. But likely this means I just don't like this particular hop smell.

Taste - 3/5
Tastes pretty similar to the aroma. Strong earthy-resin-pine hops. Kinda funky tasting. Again, not sure I really love the flavors that much.

Mouthfeel - 4/5
Smooth, medium-full body. Medium amount of medium-high intensity carbonation.

Overall - 3.5/5
Not terrible, but nothing special. The hops tasted kinda strange.

Interesting take on the IPA by lagering, making it an "IPL". A little heavy on the Cascade hops for my tastes (I know the tendency with American IPA is to be "all grapefruit, all the time", but too me it makes a dynamic beer style very one dimensional). There is an ester note coming through, perhaps from the yeast strain, that gives an almost candy-like sweetness as well. Medium body with long lasting highly citrus hop oil aftertaste that has a drying effect on the palate.

Nose of citrus, floral, light biscuity malt, cereal, pine, grass. Taste light lemon zest, biscuity malt, citrus, foral/pine caramel, light honey, crisp clean finish.
