I really love this brew. Poured a bright golden yellow and slams a massive hop punch up front to the palate. The brew is very smooth for a big DIPA and has a great mouth feel. Just the right amount of hop oil and well balanced. If you are a hop head looking for an awesome hoppy local brew you have found it in this one. Also try their Tobacco Road Imperial Amber wow delicious.

I was left wanting nothing on this except another pint. Perfect taste. Well balanced. Would highly recommend. I don't know what more to say other than you should give this a shot if you appreciate Imerpial IPA's. The balance of flavor really exploded your taste pallet and goes well with most anything.

Super fresh! Canned on 3\9\18 poured on 4/13/18.
L: darker than I expected. Deep dark orange amber gold. Very cloudy. Big head, good retention and lacing.
S: initial smell while ice cold was dank and citrus with a hint of booze. But as it warmed it blossomed into a very nice rich and ripe candied citrus orange fruit!
T: very flavorful, ripe citrus fruit and hops. Orange peel and orange fruit, but not straight orange. Good balance. Tasty rich bitterness. A little bitter aftertaste on the palate but not unpleasant.
F: thick with a nice little bite. Not boozy or too bitter. Very drinkable just like the can says.
O: My first offering from Yellowhammer. But if it’s a DIPA from Alabama I’m going to try it! And I’m glad I did. Very solid Imperial. Don’t be afraid to let it warm up because at the right temp it’s very rich and flavorful! Thank you Chelsea Citgo!

Poured from 32 oz growler into tulip glass.

A: Deep yellow with slight one finger head. No lacing to speak of.

S: Big citrus, alcohol, and hops. A bit of piney resin.

T: Grapefruit, orange peel, bitter hops. Alcohol is apparent but enjoyable.

M: Medium body and fair carbonation. Was looking for a bit more head on this one, but otherwise very nice.

O: A very solid IIPA. Very hop forward but nicely drinkable. One of my favorite local IPAs.

A - A dark dark brown to copper. The inch of head settles into a light thin froth. 3

S - Smells of resiny hops and sweet biscuits. Slight hint of figs/rasins. 3.5

T - Bitterness is the forefront with a slight maltiness and an odd herbal tinge which fades into a liquorice taste that lingers. 3.5

M - Light body with medium carbonation. 4

Courtesy of richj1970, thanks for another blast of flavor. From 12 oz. can.

Pours a translucent dark gold with a finger of off white head atop. Head kicks back quick to thick ring and nice cap.
Thick lace decorates glass.

Caramel, grapefruit, pine, bitter orange, and some crisper grain notes make a tasty, medium strength aqroma.

West coast style blast of caramel, grapefruit, bitter pith, and pine. Herbal bitter joins the end of sip party to help dry it out.

Highly viscous, med. carb. full bodied, with a decent finish.

Tasty brew, simple and clean, sure to please fans of old school WCIPA. Recommended.
