Stopped at the brewery on my way to MS for a friends birthday bash. This beer was hands down the most impressive from Yellowhammer. The beer poured out as a hazy yellow color with some golden hues in there. The head was white and had a nice retention and lacing. The smell of the beer had some really dank hops on the nose which I loved. The taste of the beer had a good amount of resin-like hops that really leave a nice piney tingle on the tongue. The feel was good, medium bodied. Overall I liked this so much I made it a point to grab some Crowlers of it before leaving. Would drink this one again for sure.

Absolute Perfection. If you love IPAs and this is out, get two packs of it. It is something I look forward to every year.

Just the right amount of Hops. Good Job.

A - A dark dark brown to copper. The inch of head settles into a light thin froth. 3

S - Smells of resiny hops and sweet biscuits. Slight hint of figs/rasins. 3.5

T - Bitterness is the forefront with a slight maltiness and an odd herbal tinge which fades into a liquorice taste that lingers. 3.5

M - Light body with medium carbonation. 4

Always glad when this one appears every year. Filled another half-gallon growler and was rewarded at home after filling a couple of 24-oz glasses with a very healthy fine-foamed head, aroma filled with citrus and hoppy goodness. Brewer claims 6 lbs hops per barrel, glass feels like that much character at least, very clean flavor and no unpleasant after-taste. This one feels very dry on the palate and the high ABV is anything but readily apparent in this smooth and very drinkable Yellowhammer DIPA, a classic "lawn mowing" beer with bite.

This is what I consider a good everyday beer, not too heavy and nothing negative to make you search elsewhere. Consistency is a bit thinner than the Stone products, but this is a good daily brew for hot summer days and nights. There are some rosemary pine accompaniments that enhance the character, but overall a very simple and drinkable ale I could consume on a regular basis.

Poured from 32 oz growler into tulip glass.

A: Deep yellow with slight one finger head. No lacing to speak of.

S: Big citrus, alcohol, and hops. A bit of piney resin.

T: Grapefruit, orange peel, bitter hops. Alcohol is apparent but enjoyable.

M: Medium body and fair carbonation. Was looking for a bit more head on this one, but otherwise very nice.

O: A very solid IIPA. Very hop forward but nicely drinkable. One of my favorite local IPAs.

I was left wanting nothing on this except another pint. Perfect taste. Well balanced. Would highly recommend. I don't know what more to say other than you should give this a shot if you appreciate Imerpial IPA's. The balance of flavor really exploded your taste pallet and goes well with most anything.
