This is a big American IPA, made with Britsh Marris Otter malt and a unique blend of six hops, including Columbus, Amarillo, Simcoe and French Strisselspalt. It’s clean and crisp, a bit of sweetnees balanced by a dry take on what has become the style of choice for many American beer lovers. This version employs more hops than the vast majority of east coast American IPAs.

Hazy dark Amber color, big fluffy head, good retention and lacing. Nice aroma of flowers, citrus and pine, with some sweet malty undertones. Lots of grapefruit and sweet bread you malt in the flavor, nice balance though. Mouthfeel was fairly thick, but quite nice, and nicely carbonated. Overall, pretty tasty, wouldn't mind having this one available more often

A - Wow, maybe this bottle got shook up violently somewhere before it come into my possession, but it was just a big bottle of unrelenting foam. When it finally did settle down (three innings later watching Braves game) it was a clear amber.
S - very earthy, bready, pine, resin, floral, etc.
T - very nice, more hops on the finish than I expected.
M - too carbonated, but fine otherwise.
O - I need to get a new bottle of this to see if the bottle I had was an anomaly. I'll change my review if need be, but for now, even though the taste was great, the eternal foam was a major downer.

Great brew. Glad they were able to have the Simcoe back in house to brew this beer. The Columbus and Simcoe really bring this IPA forward and in your face. Very smooth IPA that smells like a IIPA. Balanced and smooth IPA. I love the dank aroma. Well worth seeking out. Bottle or tap

A-Pours a burn orange/brown color with a towering, 3 finger white head with good retention. Effervescent bubbles continue to work their way up top. Foam coats the glass as I drink but leaves no lacing. A very pretty brew, indeed.
S-Overpowering presence of astringent alcohol, almost smells like rubbing alcohol. Bitter hops. Doesn't smell pleasant at all.
T-Bitter hops, astringent alcohol. The alcohol is overpowering and not warming like most would prefer. Very simple, which is not a bad thing, but when the simplicity is between astringent alcohol and bitter hops, it doesn't make for the best combination. As it warms, there is a very slight touch of malted sweetness in the background which is redeeming
MF- This brew has a nice, thick body and is not too carbonated. Finish is sticky and very satisfying
O-A simple, decent IPA. Not the best AL has to offer. I prefer Back40s Freckle Belly, Good People's IPA and Snakehandler, and Avondale IPA over this.

a - poured a three-fingers thick rocky off-white and creamy head into a tumbler that left great lacing and sheeting throughout. the body was a bright amber color.
s - orange citrus peel with a hint of pine.
t - caramel malts with piney hops. very balanced.
m - creamy and smooth.
o - brewer said this would be overcarbonated and it was. lots of potential here for a really good AIPA.

Poured, a beautiful light golden amber with generous off white head. Nose lead with a floral citrus aroma and a slightly soapy back note. Initial tasting brought an understated sweetness backed by a piney hop characteristic. Overall experience was clean and crisp. A very refreshing IPA with great hopping and an adequate level of malt. I'm from AL, and this is my favoring offering of the genre, thus far.
