12 oz. Can
Pours a pretty nice amber color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice one-finger off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with some citrus. The taste is hoppy, malty, citrusy. Medium body. Overall, a nice little brew.

spring seasonal from bonfire, with their usual yellow cans, this one with neon orange to red, construction colored highlights. cool play on words with the name, but thats the beers best feature sadly. its a big frothy dark amber colored brew, with a ton of body and life to it, but the flavors just arent there for my palate. its overly sweet, and heavy, dusty, and sticky on the grain front. its all malt with no hops to balance, nothing cool going on with the yeast, and just a bomb of sugar. i get some cool flavors from the grain though, including red apple and honey nut cheerios, but the molasses texture and sweetness overtake the nuance very quickly, and im left with a filling beer that doesnt taste all that good. a sixpack would be an impossible session for me, which is odd for a beer under 5% abv. i like the frothy and thicker mouthfeel, and think it suits the red ale style well, instead of the all too common watered down experience, but with all the sugar, it seems a bit more decadent than im after in a basic american red. not bad, but in need of some tweaks before it comes back out i think. their demshitz brown is still their greatest success to date.
