Welcome to the future. Our collective human consciousness, or Ghost in the Machine, has gained a tolerance for hops beyond what mankind has ever known before. This double India Pale Ale is the necessary outcome. Brewed with obscene quantities of hand-selected Citra hops from our favorite farm in Yakima Valley, WA. Expect pungent grapefruit aromas and flavors, tropical fruit, and less harsh bitterness than most IIPAs.

16 oz can into Jolly Pumpkin tulip glass
Had this in New Orleans a few days before New Years Eve and flew a couple cans back with me.
Opaque, orange juice appearance. Tight head leaves a fair about of sticky lacing.
Aromas are dank, citrusy, grassy.
Citrusy, tropical on the palate. Distinct notes of tangerine and pineapple, hints of mango and berry sweetness. Piney as well. Flavors pull from both West Coast and North East styles of IPAs, even though it’s categorized as a Hazy.
Absolute knock out brew. Reminds me of something Toppling Goliath would come up with.

From a 16oz can:
Appearance: Cloudy orange-yellow, huge puffy head.
Smell: Starts with stinky socks, evolves into mild citrus.
Taste: Moderately sweet, creamy, orange creamsicle. Soft feel, very low bitterness.
Overall: I've seen this around the Twin Cities and on Beer Advocate but finally picked up a 4 pack since it was canned 19 days ago. Very nice NE-style DIPA, no hop burn, just sweetened orange and soft feel.

On tap at the House of Brews in Jensen Beach, Florida.
Appearance. Cloudy golden body with a weak white head.
An exceptionally juicy IIPA that's dominated by notes of citrus and other tropical fruits from the Citra hops.

Drank this alongside one of my favorites, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, and realized how much better this was than 90 Minute. Ghost in the Machine is right up there with Zombie Dust and King Sue.

Opaque cloudiness has an apricot to bruised peach color and a frothy white head. Aromas of tropical fruit are given off easily upon opening, but settle in to a more tangerine citrus vibe with an addition of oat / malt sweetness. On the thicker side of feel, but not too heavy feeling (medium/medium-plus). Little bit of a malt-heavy opening with a more fruit rind and oat/grain opening that I find in quite a few cloudy IPAs, especially when cold. Sweeter citrus near the opening becomes more classic grapefruit deeper in the taste, especially deeper into the pour. This take reminds me of some of the first beers I tried that look like this, though with a notch lower vibrancy in the fruitiness of the hops.
