Probably one of the best Barrel Aged Stouts that I have ever had. A simple yet VERY solid base stout melds perfectly with the barrel character. I wish this came in a bottle. Fingers crossed. I can't wait to be able to try this again.

great beer, I would not mind more chocolate flavor to the beer but otherwise, I can not complain. The bourbon/alcohol flavor did not overpower the beer and it was a nice winter beer.,

Had on tap at the brewery
pours really dark brown, near black. Small, mocha-colored head with little retention or lacing.
Smell dominated by the Four Roses bourbon. Behind were notes of cocoa, dark chocolate, wood, leather, vanilla and dark stoned fruits. The taste, like the nose, was big bourbon flavor. Almost a bit too much. Didn't let the other flavors breathe. If you are a bourbon lover, you'll love it. I would have liked for a bit more balance. Feel was heavy and creamy. Heat was definitely present. Finished slick, but velvety. Overall, I liked this better than the BA Grand Reserve. If the bourbon was toned down a hair, this would be up there with some of the better BA stouts.
