Bottle.
A: The deep roasted malts from the blend of stout and porter provides aromas of chocolate and coffee, coupled with a moderate lingering sourness with moderate vanilla bourbon and brandy barrel presence.
A: Totally jet black color, opaque, with a moderate tannish head that has adequate retention.
T: Chocolate/coffee like roasted malts are quickly contrasted by the slightly sharp bracing acidity that lingers with some vanilla bourbon and brandy barrel presence on the finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderately light carbonation. The beer has a moderately bracing acidity that contrasts with the rounded malt flavors.
O: Solid; the beer has a great deep roast aroma and flavor that’s well contrasted by the moderate sourness and bracing acidity. However, the acidity is almost too strong and keeps the beer from being even more drinkable.

Pours black with a tan head. Plenty of lacing on the sides. Taste is prunes, light cocoa with a distinct mellow funk. Mouthfeel is medium. A decent dark sour.
