i think this one is my favorite of all the beers i had from tequesta. its so different for an american pale ale, with a bigger malt build that never gets heavy or sweet, but has a ton of flavor and sets up a launching pad that can handle a lot more hops than most. the hops have a really tropical feel to them, even fruit juicy, i taste mango and lime, but my brother got more of a lemon or orange thing, even melon in here not sure the strains, but when those hops meet the caramel malt, good things happen. its bitter enough and clean enough to be refreshing, but its beer drinkers session beer, with some body and a ton of flavor. interesting that the hops hit mid palate rather than in the finish, and its almost malty as it finishes. i am not used to that fruity middle in the style, and it really works well here. i suspect this will be the beer to get these guys on the map, although all of the beers i had from them were quite good. this was the most memorable for sure, i wish it made it out west, there is nothing like this here, it screams florida, which is nice in a cold colorado winter.

Draught in pint glass L: bronze copper with high clarity A: malty with light hop aroma; Chinook or Amarillo T: crisp, biscuit with a dry finish Mf: typical American pale. Oa: solid beer from an up and coming brewery, would order it again.

Draft at Herbie's in Marathon, FL. Medium clear amber with a modest white head. Initial impression is bitter citrus and a lot of pine resin, followed by a little bit of biscuit malts. Medium but kind of creamy mouthfeel - odd for an IPA. Dry and bitter finish. A good IPA but not a great one.

Sampled on tap at the brewery. Nice amber color with some haze. Smell was muted orange and grapefruit hops with slight pine. Tasted bitter with muddled hop flavor. Dry finish. Typical APA. Nice but nothing outstanding.
