Brilliant gold in color with excellent clarity. There's a fingernail of brilliant white on top. Heavy lacing. The aroma is of light malt and German bittering hops. I taste pale German bittering hops in the front of the palate and light malt towards the back. The mouth is smooth, dry, and crisp.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass.
Appearance - Clear pale yellow. Medium white head.
Smell - Bready pilsner malts. German hops behind it.
Taste - German hops are more prevalent here. Hop bite right up front. Bready malts. Spicy hop bitterness in the back.
Mouthfeel - Crisp. Light body. Easy drinking.
Overall - Tequesta does these styles so well. Malty enough to be flavorful, but never heavy. Good hop presence.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a bright yellow color with a 1 inch head. Smell is grassy, malts. Taste is crisp, lemons, malts, hops are present at the finish. Feels light in the mouth and overall is a refreshing and decent beer.

From tap to taster at Due South tasting room on 6/2/12
*From notes
A: Lemon Radler looking cloudy yellow in color. A 1.5 finger white bubbly head and a solid collar. rims the glass.
S: Cheerios, with a citric bite to it. Pretty different stuff.
T: Intense, citric lemon. I get some freshly cut sheet paper and wet earth. Quite off the wall for a Kolsch.
M: A bit thin and light bodied. The carbonation is sharp and overzealous.
O: One of the whackier Kolsch's I've ticked. There are certain parts that really fit the bill, yet others that make me feel like Black Rob sayin' "Whoah!" I wouldn't turn anyone away from this one, just keep your mind open and ready for this glass o' strange.

First had: on tap at the Corner Cafe, Tequesta, FL
Kolsches aren't my thing really, but since TBC was closed and this was one of the few of their brews they had on tap next door at the Corner Cafe, I figured I go for a taster. Clearish golden-yellow pour with a fuzzy white head that retained as a ringlet and left a bit of lacing on the glass. Aroma of cereal grains, corn, and slight fruit notes, possibly from the hops. Taste was similar, toasted grains, corn, light herbal and earthy hops, and a subtle fruity undertone that almost reminded me of the flavor you might get from Belgian yeast. Light body, pretty easily drinkable. Not my style, but not bad for the style.
