Pours a slightly unfiltered golden straw color with a dense white head that leaves a nice amount of lacing as you enjoy the beer. The nose has a strong grassy aroma with some cereal grain aromas as well.

The taste is more in line with the kolsch style, with the grass and cereal grain flavors accompanied by a nice lemon flavor that adds some brightness to the beer.

The mouthfeel is very crisp per the style, making for a very nice lawnmower beer. Glad I had the opportunity to try this.

Had on tap at the brewery.

L: 3.5 Looks like a fine kolsch. Pale in coloration, moderate in carbonation, medium white head.
S: 3.5 Grainy and estery. Slightly earthy.
T: 3.75 Very enjoyable. Light malts. light on hops. Emulates the German style well.
F: 4. Light mouthfeel. Goes down like a lager.
O: 3.75 this seems to be their flagship. Pretty solid.

Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Fat Head’s pint glass.

A: Very light gold and very clear. A finger’s worth of white head with good retention, and average carbonation for style.

S: Pale pale pale malts. Noble hops, fruity yeast esters, and mild apple sweetness. Crisp lager yeastiness.

T: Light white bread malts, and I think a mild pilsner malt character as well. Lightly fruity yeast esters again – apple seems the forward flavor. Grassy noble hops, and mildly bitter in the hang with more sweet esters.

M: A light crisp body, good carbonation sensation, and modest alcohol presence.

O: I thought this was a pretty tasty Kolsch. Easy enough to drink, though perhaps not the best exemplar of style around. A little more fruity than some in the style, but acceptably delicate in execution. I would drink another if I found it around. Scores given are to style; my personal preference would be somewhat lower.

Brilliant gold in color with excellent clarity. There's a fingernail of brilliant white on top. Heavy lacing. The aroma is of light malt and German bittering hops. I taste pale German bittering hops in the front of the palate and light malt towards the back. The mouth is smooth, dry, and crisp.
