Strip mall brewpub ambiance, with almost a diner like feel. Food and service were both fine (I had a pizza, wife had fish tacos, both were decent). I only tried one beer -- the schwartzbier. It wasn't amazing, but I liked it enough to have two. Worth a stop if you're passing through, and would certainly be someplace I'd frequent if I were a local.

We visited during their first week of operation. I never think this is a good idea, and perhaps we should've waited a month or two for some things to be tweaked.

The beer choices were heavy on the lagers. And they were all solid lagers. You won't be disappointed. Ales were good, too, but not overly memorable.

Food was so-so. I ordered chili with sourcream, onions, cheese, and it came out sans the toppings. The chili seemed bland also. Recipe needs some tweaking. Hubby ordered the seafood chowder....way too buttery and way too thick. I cannot get over how so many restaurants think that chowder has to be thicker than paste! Growing up in Maine I never heard of thick chowder. Ours were always a milky broth, never thickened. But this chowder was almost impossible to eat because it contained so much butter! And I LOVE butter!
The rest of the meal was a little underwhelming also. Hubby's sandwich was a mess of undercooked onions and peppers on top of sliced sirloin that was overcooked and then all smothered in some really stringy cheese. The roll it was on was oily and too garlicky. My halibut and chips were actually really good. Only complaint was the proportion of halibut to hand cut fries. 4 small halibut planks and the rest of the plate covered with mismatched sized of hand cut russets, probably 4 large russets worth of fries on my plate! Some were huge and not cooked all the way through and other were a more normal size and overcooked and soggy.
Dessert, we ordered the white chocolate blueberry bread pudding, which I assumed incorrectly would be a blueberry and citrus variation on the old bread pudding standby. Wrong. It was white chocolate and had blueberries but was also loaded with cinnamon and then topped with a huge dollop of cinnamon infused whipped cream and then drizzled with a cinnamon caramel sauce. The blueberry and white chocolate would have been better served with some sort of lemon focus, not cinnamon. Huge clash of flavors that left me feeling like I needed to brush my teeth and start over.

So, overall, we will go back only to see if things have been tweaked. Service was friendly and quick. Beers were solid. Menu has potential, but at the moment the dishes actually need some simple rethinking and retooling. I will update this review after our next visit, if it deems editing.
