Notes / Commercial Description:
Formerly Old School Oktoberfest

Much hoppier than most I've had of the style. Pretty heavy on the hops and missing a lot of those caramel, toffee, and roasted malt notes I'm looking for. Not the worst I've had, but not near the best either. Really doesn't remind me of an Oktoberfest, more like a hoppy amber.

Decent beer, disappointing Oktoberfest.

L: yup its amber with little to know head
S: roasted malt
T: ok roasted gain and malt then hops come in make there presents known. This is a decidedly hoppy marzen. If you want traditional look else where. This isn't a bad beer but more hop presence than I would like. ( I like more traditional marzens)
F: moderate carbonation that comes off bracing like after shave
O: Ok honestly I am no hop head. I lean toward malt backbone beers. For this style of beer it leans hard toward the hop so its not my thing but not a bad beer or an american interpretation. YMMV

Pours a nice copper color, with a half inch lacing that remains throughout. Caramel and molasses on the nose. Taste is more on the amber side for a Marzen/Oktoberfest style beer. However, the finish is very smooth. Just arrived in Missouri, where I will be stationed for a few years. I'll definitely be having more of these.
