Notes / Commercial Description:
You’re in for a helluva burly bite with this one. Mother’s India Pale Ale is aggressively hopped in both the wort kettle and aging vessel for a sharp, clean bitterness and fragrant citrus hop flavors. We've instilled a mellow malt character as the backbone to balance the elevated alcohol and hop levels IPA lovers crave. Whether you’re an IPA loyalist or just sampling, you've found yourself a great beer. So spend some quality time with Mother’s Lil’ Helper.

This brew is a clear, amber colored brew. The head is wispy and slim. Fruit aroma (peach, citrus peel) and spicy hops in the nose. The taste is balanced, with sharp bitterness beginning in the foretaste and establishing itself by the midtaste. Full in body and hoppy, bitter finish. Assertive IPA.

Sampling a 6-pack I purchased in mid-MO. Bottling date was only 4 weeks ago.

A: Bottle conditioned chunks. Pet peeve.
S: Huge smack of hops. Dank piney citrus. Spoiler alert: only really positive aspect of this beer.
T: Sticky sweet malt and no hop punch. I get about 30-40 IBU, not 70.
M: Creamy smooth carbonation, as expected for bottle conditioning. Vastly under carbonated.
O: Not a fan. I wouldn't even recommend trying it.

Nice Amber color with about inch of head. Nose piney with hints of citrus and a little dank malt. Taste is pine with malt undertones. Grapefruit, pineapple and tropical fruits on back end. Nice linger in finish. Of all the mothers line up this is my 2nd favorite next to their new Uncanny. My go to IPA when selection is small in the store in at. Well worth it.

Solid IPA but not my thing. A little to much malt for me. The citrus is a solid point for this beer to complement the Hoppy taste and aroma. Comes out a little darker than i like my IPA to but again the citrus. I use this as my back up IPA. Solid beer not bad at all just not crazy about it. (Though I have it in my hand now)

A - golden brown with puffy white head that clings with each sip. Good clarity.

S - Malty for an IPA, slightly dank, piney, some citrus notes present.

T - Citrus and piney hops up front followed by a nice mellow malt back bone that makes this IPA smooth and easy to drink. Medium bodied and mellow mouth feel.

O - Really nice offering - not overly aggressive and that is a good thing. Seems that every brewery tries to out do one another with "in your face" hop bombs, but this is a nice balanced take in this category.

Notes - obtained while in Cape Girardeau visiting family
