Notes / Commercial Description:
Our first release from Mother’s Cupboard, Mr. Pumpkin is a medium bodied, copper color ale. With just the right blend of 2 Row, Caramel, and Crystal malts, pumpkin and spices, Mother’s has created one yummy pint of love. Perfect after dinner in lieu of dessert, or for a night out on the town.

Mr. Pumpkin is a mild mannered salesman by day, but a wild card at night. Enjoy out doors on cool fall nights, or when slaving over the stove making that holiday dinner for the in-laws. If pie can be for breakfast, well it certainly should work as beer. Plus you don't have to worry about mastering your grandmother’s piecrust recipe. Invite Mr. Pumpkin to your next dinner and the conversation will never end.

Pulled this 12oz bottle from Hank's fridge of Fall wonders back at the man cave. Many choices in there, but I just can't pass up anything from Mother's.

Nice burnt orange color with bits of what I think may be pumpkin pulp churning about. Pretty think fizzy white head never quite makes a fingers worth.

I love the smell even though there is something artificial about it. Very spicy pumpkin pie - lots of nutmeg and cinnamon.

Tastes like it smells with plenty of spice wallop. I like that fact that this thing is loaded with cinnamon. The nutmeg and allspice and candy sugar join up with the cinnamon to nearly overtake the pumpkin, but it's a still a great meld. Good nut/grain undertones.

All pumpkin ales seem to be a little watery to me and this one is no different. The carbonation keeps it from getting too thin.

Never had a bad beer from Mother's. Doubt I ever will. Next time I'm at Hank's, I'll drink another if he offers it.

Pours an effervescent orange/copper with 2 fingers of cream colored head. Alright lacing & head retention

S: Pumpkin pie spices in copious quantities

T: Follows the nose, dryness & squashy notes up front. Plenty of all-spice & nut meg as this warms, a kiss of caramel as well. Finishes dry with much pumpkin pie spice

MF: Light/medium body, firm carbonation

Drinks easy, but nothing earthshattering here. I was hoping for more, jack this up a few more ABV & this would work for me. Probably never buy again if Schlaflys is around, worth a try none the less

Pours a copper, apple juice color with a centimeter of khaki head. The head retains reasonably well. Aroma is rich and full of pumpkin, and toasted malts. Subtle hint of pine hops. Flavor profile is very much pumpkin, spices, and toasted malt. While it is rich, it is still drinkable. Mouth feel is fizzy, thin, and otherwise uninspired. Overall, it's a solid pumpkin brew, but a little on the rich side.

Served in a 12oz snifter.

A - Pours a rusty orange with lots of bubbles. It has one finger offwhite head with average retention.

S - Lots of nutmeg and cinnamon upfront with just a slight hint of pumpkin trailing.

T - Much like the aroma. Strong nutmeg and cinnamon with a slight pumpkin taste in the back. The use of nutmeg is a little strong for me and overpowers the pumpkin. Still very drinkable

M - This is one of the lighter bodied Pumpkin Ales that I have had. Its very slick in the mouh.

O - This is not a bad pumpkin ale. I think it could be greatly improved with a little more pumpkin or a little less nutmeg. Still very drinkable
