Our first release from Mother’s Cupboard, Mr. Pumpkin is a medium bodied, copper color ale. With just the right blend of 2 Row, Caramel, and Crystal malts, pumpkin and spices, Mother’s has created one yummy pint of love. Perfect after dinner in lieu of dessert, or for a night out on the town.
Mr. Pumpkin is a mild mannered salesman by day, but a wild card at night. Enjoy out doors on cool fall nights, or when slaving over the stove making that holiday dinner for the in-laws. If pie can be for breakfast, well it certainly should work as beer. Plus you don't have to worry about mastering your grandmother’s piecrust recipe. Invite Mr. Pumpkin to your next dinner and the conversation will never end.

Not usually a pumpkin beer fan but I have been a Mother's fan since the beginning and they consistently impress me even when I'm not expecting it and this beer is no exception
It's very clearly pumpkin without being cloying. Very easy drinking. Usually one pumpkin beer and I'm done but I just drank 3 of these and they went down like water.....I take that back. I hate water. They went down like southern sweet tea on a summer day.
No sophisticated palette here so I can't give the snob review but I will say rather you like this kind of beer or not give this one a try.

Was not expecting it to be so delicious! Taste like Halloween and thanksgiving rolled into one. Pumpkin and spice and everything nice!

Pours a clear copper color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and slight lacing. Smells of strong nutmeg, cinnamon, slight pumpkin, slight sweet malt, and a hint of peppermint. Fits the style of a Pumpkin Beer. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of strong nutmeg, cinnamon, slight pumpkin, slight sweet malt, hint of caramel malt, and a hint of peppermint. Overall, weak appearance, blend is all spice in body and aroma, but at least a good feel.

Dark copper colored with a fingernail of beige around the rim and covering half of the top. The aroma is of cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin pie spices. I'm tasting cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, and cloves. The heavy spicing leaves a gentle burn on the tongue that lingers.

Ginger, cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg dominate the aroma, accented by caramel malt sweetness.
Flavor is lightly squash sour, with a toasted, slightly sweet caramel malt backbone and a dry finish. Spices dominate early, fading somewhat mid palate.

Pours a copper, apple juice color with a centimeter of khaki head. The head retains reasonably well. Aroma is rich and full of pumpkin, and toasted malts. Subtle hint of pine hops. Flavor profile is very much pumpkin, spices, and toasted malt. While it is rich, it is still drinkable. Mouth feel is fizzy, thin, and otherwise uninspired. Overall, it's a solid pumpkin brew, but a little on the rich side.
Served in a 12oz snifter.
