330ml bottle poured into a tulip glass

Look: Dark golden yellow/amber with a faint haze - I think this beer is unfiltered so the haze would be from sediment in the bottle. Fingers width of off-white head which diminishes to a thin foam cap. Not a lot in the way of lacing.

Smell: Yep, it's an IPA all right - a bit of citrus up front but this is soon overtaken by the overwhelming resinous tang of the hops. Heavy pine aromas, with maybe the faintest hint of yeast and malt. Very much hop forward though.

Taste: Very hop-forward - grapefruit and other citrus initially, but quickly overwhelmed by the grassy, piney, resiny hops. Overall, pretty bitter - not surprising since the bottle states that this is 70 IBU. It certainly lives up to that.

Feel: Fairly light with medium carbonation - the finish is very, very dry and sticks around long after the last mouthful. Hopheads will probably go for this, others not so much.

Overall: Not brilliant by Brewfist standards, and given the crowded nature of the IPA market, American-style IPAs in particular, there's nothing really here that lifts it above the competition. Sure, it's tasty and refreshing but there are lot of other IPAs out there that tick the same boxes. Good, but nothing special.

Best before 30 May 2015 as stated on the back of the bottle. Poured from a 330ml bottle into a La Chouffe tulip glass.

A: The beer poured a nice copper orange with some haze caused by some small particles suspended. One finger white head.
S: Citrus aromas hit first with some light pine and light caramel malt.
T: Bitter and malt with light grapefruit and some other citrus. Interestingly leaves a mango aftertaste. However the fruit flavours were not really strong and did not last long which was unfortunate.
M: Light body with medium/high carbonation.
O: The beer poured nice and smell kept me interested but I think the taste failed to live up to expectations from the initial pour. The taste just seemed to be missing something which was unfortunate as everything else seemed pretty good… except that taste is probably the most important… I probably wouldn’t buy this again.

Slightly misty golden, poor whit head, quick to a bit of froth.
Citrusy hop and grainy biscuit, touch of pineapple, light floral notes, light caramel, faint pine.
Rich bitter (more than) sweet citrus up front, lots of grapefruit, underripe orange, some fresh pineapple too. Caramel, grain, faint honey notes. Pine resin in the finish, not too strong, perfumey floral notes, grassy bitter hop too.
Aftertaste has bitter citrus peel, grass, light grain. Pretty dry. Medium body, medium carbonation.
A bitter dry, slightly sweet IPA. Generous with hops, tasty, what more to ask for?! Brewfist really know how to make'em.

Pours a cloudy, copper color. 3/2 inch head of off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, slight caramel malt, resin, piney hops, hint of yeast, and slight pale malt. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, slight pale malt, hint of caramel malt, piney hops, slight resin, and a hint of yeast. Overall, good appearance and aroma, but body was a little metallic and not well blended.

Got it from Italy, bottle 0.33 l
A - Typical IPA appearance. Maybe some thinner foam. Low carbonation.
S - Very, very pleasant smell. Mostly honey aroma, very fresh. Lots of hops.
T/M - Highly bitter. Maybe a bit more Caramalt or something similar. There is some sticky aftertaste. Honey aroma is mostly in the mouth.

O - This is good beer. High in bitterness, but in the good way.
