Pours light gold in color, slightly hazed, thin soapy white head; a few blobs of lace stick. Smell: quite floral and vinous, hay, a little lemony citrus, doughy note in the back. Taste: straw, white peach, funky white grapes, peppercorn, grassy, tiniest cheesy note. Medium bodied with prickly into pillowy carb, finishing dry, grassy, and grapey. With Anchorage, Nelson, and Saison with Brett all on the same label, this was an easy pick up, and it delivered.

750 mL bottle. Hazy pale yellow body with a big white head. Smells of white grape, doughy malt, earthy brett, and some yeasty funk. All of it has a lemony acidic tinge. Tastes more clearly of the Nelson hops. Tropical fruit, lime, grassy hop flavors. Tart lemon and lime. Malt builds and then quickly dies off as earthy brett bitterness builds. Medium light. Pleasant, tart saison. Aggressively hopped, which I don't think is a real attribute, but it's not bad here.

A: poured into a snifter to a slightly hazy straw yellow topped by a pillowy white head which fades quickly too a small collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of lemons and some slight citrus hop notes with some sultanas, a little bit of funk, some light sourness and some oak.
T: Taste is slightly spicy with some funk and barnyard off the bat followed by some horseblanket. Slight sultana note from time to time as well. Hint of tartness and some band aids with some slight citrus and lemon. Swallow is more spicy notes with some white pepper, lingering bretty barnyard and horseblanket.
M: This beer has a mouthfeel that is a little on the light side but not watery. Carbonation is effervescent from bottle conditioning while the beer has a drying finish.
O: Overall this is a really nice beer. Fantastic amounts of complexity on this one with layer after layer of flavor. This si definitely a beer to sip and savor. I don't drink as many saisons as I used to and this beer has me regretting that decision.

Honestly the aroma was muted and the flavor was somewhat bland and dry finish from the brett. Decent saison but would prefer more sourness, more yeasty, more hoppy, more sweet. Just more.

750ml bottle into tulip. Batch #1.

A: Pours a slightly cloudy chalky lemon color with a billowing and very airy white head that slowly faded into a thick collar leaving delicate lace down the glass.
S: Insanely delicious smelling nose bursting with nelson sauvin hops. I get juicy white nectarine, vinous white grape, tropical fruits, and a ton of honeydew melon.
T: The hop nose translates to the flavor, but the base saison is also in the mix. I get notes of earthy straw, hay, and peppery spice combined with white grape, white nectarine, melon, and a hint of grapefruit rind near the finish. The finish is earthy, slightly grassy, and full of peppery spice and barnyard funk.
M: Very bright and frothy carbonation fluffs up on my palate but at least is soft, delicate, and smooth. The medium body has a nice crisp dry finish to it, and makes this beer light and easy to drink.
O: What a great expression of an amazing hop, and what a great beer to put it in. I could drink this saison all day.

I had this beer on-tap in a tulip at the brewery.

Appearance: light yellow hue with a bit of haze and a thin layer of white foam.

Smell: funky, grassy and just a little bit tart. Just unbalanced enough.

Taste: mildly funky with a dash of sourness and a grassy hop character. This beer is legit.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: a very solid and tasty saison. I find this beer remarkably drinkable. Great.

Corked 750 into a Teku - released 6 days ago

L: Hazy straw hue, minimal head fading quickly to a thin collar
A: Strong hops, white wine, citrus
T: Follows the nose, but this a definitely a saison - black pepper, barnyard funk is there but it is in the background (for now), nice fruity easter, long lasting bitterness, hop resin
F: True to style, great carb, medium body, no heat
O: A perfect beer as we transition into Summer - this saison is young and the brett is integrated nicely in the background at this point - truly amazing!
