L: Poured from a bottle to a snifter glass. Had a brilliant, ruby red / purple color and a mostly cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, off white head that lasted a below average amount of time. Not much lacing here.

S: A so-so aroma of berries, yeast, hops, malt, apples, and wood.

T: Tasted of a bit of malt (mostly in the finish), some wood (oak, in particular), a fair amount of blueberries (less than expected), a hint of apples, and a funky / yeasty quality. This is a thin, watery flavor. All the ingredients are there, but with a pretty weak presence. Not a bad flavor in theory, but nothing special.

F: A decent amount of carbonation with a thin finish. Light- to medium-bodied.

O: An uneven beer than could've been better.

Appearance - Pours a deep berry red with a finger width of pale pink head.

Smell - Brett yeast, blueberries, apples, white wine, oak, bready malts, earthy/leafy hops.

Taste - Starts off with the flavours of blueberries and apples, followed up swiftly by the Brett yeast, white wine and oak. A moderate level of the sea salt is present.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes tart on the tongue from the blueberries, apples, and sea salt.

Overall - A unique combination of ingredients straight from the wilds of Alaska. Not too cloying or tart like other fruit beers can be.

Red and clear body, small head at pouring then disappears to nothingness.
Nose of oak, apple, light red berries, funk.
Taste medium tartness, fruity, brett are very well balanced.
Not even medium bodied, fizzy on the tongue, finish fizzy.
A great collaboration, subtle, effective, balanced.

Moderate pour yields a half inch slightly off white, very light pink fleeting head over a slightly hazy reddish purple body with no lacing. Nice nose of blueberry, slight apple, and slight oak. Taste follows with the apple coming forward to add a bit more tartness, but this is not too tart. Nice feel for a wild ale and overall, a great collab with Jolly Pumpkin. Cheers!

Interesting. Balanced tart. But hard for me to love as I have a limited love for Wilds. (I'm no sour-head.)
Looks say as much red fruit as blue. Smells say as much brett as oak. Tastes say the same; genuine, tart, quenching and drying in the finish.

As my first from Anchorage, I went on their site and they clearly are dedicated to unusual and expensive brewing. Had I known they specialize in Belgians, I should have held out until I found their saison. In the spirit of the global brewing in remote regions, I'll hunt out their saison.

Corked and caged, the cage broke apart during removal.

Pours a cloudy red, decent head of foam and lacing.

Huge nose of oak up front, apples, some Brett, light blueberries, aromas are suggesting a mild level of tartness.

Taste confirmed my assumption aboot the tartness. Very manageable. The fruits as tasty and refreshing. Oak is here in spades, Brett is at a good point.

Barely creeps into medium bodied territory. Adequate carbonation.

One tasty collaboration here!

Pours a reddish purple, with fine pink foam.

Smell is tart and full of blueberries and apple sauce.

Taste is vinous, with lots of apples and some bitterness leading into a mild acidity with loads of blueberries on the finish. Pretty dry.

Mouthfeel is thin to mediunm, well carbonated.

Overall, a kind of sour I really enjoy, not overpowering, but very balanced and pretty complex.
