*Poured into a Teku glass from a 16oz can*

This beer poured a murky pastel yellow with a nice white colored finger thick head. It had a really good retention to it and the beer left a nice lacing around my glass when the head subsided.

Upfront on the nose, I got a pleasant aroma of general citrus notes but mainly of grapefruit. When the aromas of the citrus subsided a bit, I was then able to pick up more of its tropical notes of pineapple, mangoes, peaches, and a bit of coconut.

The taste was a lot more mellow and softer than I was anticipating. The aroma made me think that the flavors would be bold and strong but they were the exact opposite, which isn't really a bad thing at all. The Sabro in this definitely were more prominent upfront on the taste presenting notes of mango, pineapples, and coconuts giving me a bit of a pina colada kind of vibe. These flavors then developed into a grapefruit citrusy sweetness towards the middle absent of any bitterness. The bitter grapefruit flavor only showed up in the end along with a bit of malt breadiness, but the bitterness was very mellow and not harsh tasting at all.

This was medium to full-bodied, had a moderate to high carbonation, and had a dry start and finish. This coupled with the fact that this was super mellow and had a low bitter aftertaste which didn't linger made this incredibly smooth and easy to drink. I don't know where the 8.4% ABV is but it's definitely not in this beer.

Yeah, I really enjoyed drinking this. Definitely super citrusy, fruity, smooth, and mellow, I thought this was really good to drink while I was relaxing and watching a movie.

Pours a very opaque bright yellow. Finger of white, rocky head. Strong retention. Sits around for awhile.

Nose is candied pineapple, mango, mild grassy notes, some citrus. The candy like pineapple is the real star of the show. Bringing an enjoyable bright sweetness to the scent.

Taste follows closely. The candied sugar, sweet fruit presence is there. Pineapple is so strong in this. Almost like I'm biting into a fresh piece of pineapple. Delicious. Some other tropical notes in the background. Grassy as well. Which eventually gives way to an enjoyable crackery malt backbone.

Mouthfeel is medium to fullbodied with very mild carbonation. A smooth drinking brew. Nice density and doesn't feel too heavy.

Overall a great Anchorage brew. The pineapple was so detailed and rich. I should've know that it was ridiculous amounts of Citra that made this possible. This is a simple brew, but damn if it isn't near perfect execution of a Citra IPA.

I actually think that this might be Raul’s first trip up to Alaska, and he is feeling it hard like the odiferous Trail. I mean, wow! This thing might be even more tropical than Tahihi. Believe that! This one is like a caribou eating a mango. Can you believe it? I can. Straight boom boom all over the place like Elon Musk screwing up another rocket launch. I’m out.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass, a narrow collar around the edge, and some specks of bubbles on the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of coconuts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of coconuts along with notes of gooseberry and lime.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really enjoyed the aromas and flavors of coconuts in this IPA. It was quite drinkable compared to other beers in the style.
