Well, I’m rarely moved to write a review because, I believe that beer is very personal to the individual, the time and place it’s enjoyed and the frame of mind the individual is experiencing at the time. I’m writing this a couple days after having experienced this wonderful beer on tap at a local craft bar. I just couldn’t get the experience out of my mind. I think I even dreamt about it that night. The place is one of my favorite places but this time I was a little disappointed because I was hopeful to have the Anchorage Mosaic Saison on tap, but they didn’t have it. So, I took a chance on this beer. I’m not a huge IPA fan. Sometime I think this craft is overdone and there are so many different examples of beers to explore. But, WOW, I surprised. This was not your usual IPA. The cloudy appearance was a pleasant surprise that came with a tantalizing aroma that peeked my interest. The feel and taste was smooth and the sour notes were quite pleasing to my palate. This is one of my top beers. A wonderful experience. Cheers!

Bottle, batch 10, Nov 2015:
Pours a pale yellow golden, maybe just a tad darker than a regular white ale. The head grows white and fluffy, and stays thick with a nucleares glass.

Nose is more reminiscent of a saison. I get a little farmhouse with grassy bitter notes. The Brett isn't quite powerful enough to really break through with enough funk or tart to turn the corner into a sour-leaning beer.

The taste is similar to the nose, but is more bitter than many saisons. There is a little hint of the kumquat up front, but the carbonation level of the beer muddles the distinction of the flavor. However, the bubbles seem to help the pepper notes before the grassy bitterness gains the end. The beer seems quite dry in the end, and there is a little tingle left on my tongue after the beer heads down my throat.

A quite interesting beer that has a nice bit of spice and bitterness. I'd like to get just a little more of the fruit up front, and a reduction in carbonation might help that.

Funky. That is the best word to describe this brew. Crazy nose, beautiful to look at and a fizzy feel. This is the true "Champaign of Beers," only it tastes like beer, not Brut. :-)
