Bottle from brewboone - thanks man!
A - A generous amount of white foam settles to a thick collar, wisps, and specks of lace. Hazed, unfiltered, pale orange body.
S - Lots of Citra hops present, with some lightly sugar malts, spicy oak, and a fairly low brett presence at this stage. Balanced between Belgian yeast, vanilla malt, and citrus-heavy hops work together, with only mild coriander.
T - The taste is a little bit less present than the aroma. There's some nice citrus hoppiness, spicy oak, sweet and bready malts, and some growing funk in the finish, but it's a bit tepid and hollow relative to the smell.
M - Medium body, chewy, and lightly dry in the finish. Alcohol is well-hidden, but for some reason I was expecting a bit more spritz here.
D - Good beer that falls squarely in the middle of Anchorage's output. I wish the brett had cleaned up some of the malt sweetness a bit, but perhaps I didn't give my bottle enough time for the yeast to do its work. I'd certainly drink it again if it were available locally, but there are a number of beers I'd rather have shipped to me from Alaska.

Purchased at a grocery/supply store on my way up to Denali for like $6...but drank it a week later at the Eagle River Nature Center Yurt camp...cooled in the eagle river. Brewed February 2013.
Nice citra funky aroma with some good wheat/malt notes. Taste is bready, citra, and barnyard funk...mild funk, but works really well with the hops. Really approachable and enjoyable. Very glad to have had it. Would definitely buy again.

Appearance is hazy gold with a fluffy white head leaving foamy lace. Super cloudy on the back 1/2 of the bottle, but that's a testament to the bottle conditioning.
Smell is robust, funky brett, horsehair and pineapple, which plays up the punch of the citra hops, which are by now a touch stale. Cat piss brett.
Taste is stronger on the brett side, but the hop citrus is notable as well. Nice yeasty bite rounds out the text book BIPA components. Funky, skunky, some tropical fruit, well done.
Mouthfeel is light, slippery, dry.
Drinkability is pretty good if you like the brett. Solid BIPA, the citra really plays well with the tropical fruit notes of the brett.
