Strawberry is a tad present but needs to be more. Rather acidic and sour as well.

A: Poured into a tulip to a slightly hazy light gold topped by a finger of dense white head that fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass
S: Smells of light acetic tartness, strawberries and a little bit of funk
T: Taste is a huge blast of sourness up front with some nice strawberry flavor with slight hints of funk. This one has some time on it which has probably amped up the sour notes and funk a little. The swallow is more acetic sourness with lingering strawberries and a hint of funk.
M: This beer is light in body but not watery with slightly prickly carbonation and a dry finish from the acidity.
O: Strawberry is a hard flavor to capture in a beer and this one does a fairly decent job. Good flavors and complexity with some really nice sourness as well. Probably a bit better fresh because the fruit notes have probably faded a little.

375 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled Spring 2016, had 8/25/16.
Pours a cloudy, pale orange, not much of a head, little lacing. The smell is sour, tart, with some funk, berries- more like strawberries as it warms, yeast, light malt, light black pepper. An overall light herbal aroma. The taste brings some sourness and tartness- a bit more sour as it warms, some vinegar, a fruity flavor that really develops into a nice strawberry flavor on the finish and aftertaste, yeast, light malt, some wine. Mostly smooth, nice body, appropriate level of carbonation.
The strawberries are good and come across well, over time, in the flavor and aroma. Overall, this one is not quite up to the usual standard of superb efforts from Almanac. Still worth a try, though.
