1/2 growler filled at the Green Growler Grocery, Croton on Hudson, NY

Pours clouded dull looking tangerine. MInimal head, no film, collar or lacing

Tropical fruit nose, with pineapple coming to mind. Yum

Tasty, complex and highly enjoyable, about 7 out of 10 on the tart/sour scale. Biting lemon/lime and tart fruity goodness. Happy to try this on on draft....fresh and funky and well worth a try

Barnyard funk, lemony orange citrus, but this thing isn't really hoppy or in your face Mosaic like their Simcoe was. Their Simcoe Sour was delicious, and represented/showcased the hop much better than this one. Not a bad sour by any means but nothing memorable either.

This ain't a bad brew, but I'm honestly hard pressed to make much of the apparent Mosaic contribution, and the base sour, while again perfectly decent, also isn't especially memorable, instead offering your typical acidic, lemony, very lightly funky stable of common notes. If you like Almanac's stuff, you'll probably like this, but I don't think it's unique enough to warrant a run out otherwise.

Pours golden yellow with a slight chill haze or I didn't pour very carefully enough, with a active head of white foam.

Citric, subtle tropical fruit, light oaky notes, and little dankness/wet hay, and a classic lactic aroma.

Honestly, not getting much in terms of Mosaic or any type of hoppiness, the flavor is dominated by subtle fruitiness and a prickly lactic acidity, but not overly tart.

Light-bodied, medium-high carbonation, prickly tartness.

Overall, while I understand the microbes in a sour beer generally dominate all other flavor and aromas I expected more of a hop profile from this. A little let down.

On tap at The Blackback Pub, Waterbury, VT. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a burnt yellow color with a thin wisp of a white little head. Light messy lacing. The smell had sweet grass. Grapefruit rind. Earthy funk. Light salt and packing a delicate orange pulp sourness all combining nicely. Reminds me a little bit of a gose. The taste was pretty much the same thing. Salt comes back at a nice "gose-like" level with the same sour to salty aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable to sipping quality about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the saltiness to hit my tongue. Overall, not sure if Almanac was shooting for the gose style but I think that’s what this came out to be.

Pours a cloudy pale orange, initially a good sized head that fades fast to nothing after the first sip.

Aroma is great, tropical passionfruit notes from the Mosaic meld seamlessly with the sour citrus of the base wild ale. There is a fresh hop element that well, and it all dovetails nicely.

Crisp and sour feel, juicy grapefruit and lychee pucker, dry finish with the salivary glands in overdrive. Light to medium bodied, light carbonation level but more than adequate. The dry hopping provides an interesting aroma and unique character. Enjoying this series, seemingly less acidic than the fruited stuff.
