Hazy amber with a fluffy eggshell head that is short lived. Smells sour, grapefruit & hops aroma. Taste is sour initially, citrus flavors, then piney hops & grain with a dry finish. It’s very strange, a dry sour. Feels thin & could use more carbonation. Sour. Dry & hoppy, very interesting.

Like a gobsmack of freshly squeezed tangerines in your glass, this beer hits upside the head bursting with fresh squeezed citrus and palate wrecking tartness.

On tap at The Blackback Pub, Waterbury, VT. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a burnt yellow color with a thin wisp of a white little head. Light messy lacing. The smell had sweet grass. Grapefruit rind. Earthy funk. Light salt and packing a delicate orange pulp sourness all combining nicely. Reminds me a little bit of a gose. The taste was pretty much the same thing. Salt comes back at a nice "gose-like" level with the same sour to salty aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable to sipping quality about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the saltiness to hit my tongue. Overall, not sure if Almanac was shooting for the gose style but I think that’s what this came out to be.

-hazy, deep yellow tap pour with 1 cm foam cap. Aroma is faintly lemon and funk. Flavors include lemon and tropical fruit with moderately bitter oak and Brett character. The finish is dry and very pleasant.
