Cloudy with a white-hued, light gold color. Lasting rim bubbles with ample spots and streaks for lace.

Harsher prickly cut weed aroma which covers the pale malt base.

A bit watery but the carbonation is lower than expected so it comes close to working. Here, the malt stands up. I would describe this as leaning malty even though the hop is present in a balancing way. Decently lasting aftertaste.

This was the 8th beer of the day for me at the Bistro's 22nd annual ipa festival held on April 13, 2019. Pours a hazy yellow with 1/3" white head. These are rarely appetizing to look at. Aroma is indicative of the most common hop combo for hazies, Citra and Mosaic, but it isn't exactly bursting with it. Its nice, but hardly up there with the big boys. Anyways, if you aren't aware, Citra and Mosaic drop lots of the sweet citrus and tropical fruit notes, with Mosaic giving it an equatorial like humidity and dankness to it.

Taste is nice, Simcoe used for bittering. You got all the hallmarks of a 2019 hazy ipa going on here. Nice relatively restrained flaked body, even hop usage. Its nice but it isn't the OMG you gotta try this hop bomb kind of beer. I'm not sure what they are charging for these, but they seem like the $2 a can kind of ipa as opposed to some of the $4-5 a can ipas that double up the hop bill they have going here. I could see keeping this as a recurring banger if the price was right bitch.

Beta testing the app… Really wish the keyboard would stay up and I could see the typing field at the same time… Otherwise, this is a pretty decent beer, albeit expensive

Pours a hazy straw color with a thin white head. Smell was floral ,citrus dank hops. Taste was citrus and baked bread malts some melon and dank garden hops. Mouth feel smooth with minimal bitterness. Liked this IPA for its lack of sweeetness it was a bit thin for the style.

From a tallboy (canned a month ago) into a willibecher, pours a cloudy pale apricot with an aspirin white head that recedes after a bit. The nose is kind of honey and biscuity or crackery malt sweet, along with a little citrus married to some spicy earthy green sweetness...different than most neipas. However, it is a little one-note. The taste brings a little more of the fruity and juicy hoppiness I expected, with some light mango, some melon, but also a continuation of the honeyed pilsner malt and a little green spiciness, too. In terms of feel, it is quite clean and light, and it dries up toward the end...doesn't really have that pillowy thing going for it all that much. Kind of interesting and different, and I enjoyed every one of the four pack I bought.

Definitely checks all the NE-style IPA boxes, with the heavily hazed golden color, the tropical fruit aromas and flavors, and the pillowy mouthfeel, but it’s just the slightest bit muted, for lack of a better term. If it had some edges, this would be exceptional, IMHO.

Yeah, this one is pretty basic. Maybe even a bit one dimensional. That being said, it’s not like the main man is hurting for something better. This one is pretty much like my baby mama in a one piece; it’s like, yeah, girl, looking good. But if your main man had his druthers, he’d rather ol BM slap on a Victoria’s Secret bikini on instead. So, it’s passable, but it also doesn’t make me want to whistle while I work, ya feel me?

16 oz. Can
CANNED: 01/04/19

Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice cloudy yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, mango, cantaloupe), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, pineapple, cantaloupe), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake! Nice to see it around here.

A: Pours a very hazy pale to medium golden yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate amber + bright yellow + honey colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy bright white head that quickly reduces to a couple of small to medium sized patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of extremely thin film covering a little more than 85% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of juicy tropical/mango, citrus/grapefruit, citrus/lime, and tropical/melon hops over the top of light aromas of biscuit + bready + caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there is a light flavor of biscuit + bready + caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by a slightly stronger than moderate flavor of juicy tropical/mango, citrus/grapefruit, citrus/lime, and tropical/melon hops which impart minimal amounts of bitterness which fades quickly leaving a lingering juicy tropical + citrus hop flavor.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a light amount of soft/fluffy mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Not quite a juicy or fluffy as other examples of the NEIPA style but still has a very pleasant tropical + citrus hop profile.

A: The beer is very hazy amber yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a patch of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of cantaloupe melon are present in the nose along with hints of lime citrus.
T: The taste has flavors of pine and cantaloupe melon along with notes of mangos and lime citrus. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied, juicy and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer isn't nearly as juicy compared to other New England IPAs but is easy to drink and very flavorful.

Pours golden yellow opaque, I guess hazy but more just a color than a haze. Smells great, citrus and pineapple are the big notes. Taste is mellow grapefruit and orange finishing with a hint of the hops, not very bitter at all. Fairly high carbonation tingles front to back but still relatively smooth drinking. Overall this is a decent NEIPA.

Pours a hazy straw yellow. Loe carbonation. Smell is grapefruit, lemons, hops. Taste is a nice blend of citrus, grapefruit, lemons, oranges. Hops come up from behind. Subtle hop taste. Not too bitter. Refreshing.

Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking semi-orange bronzed thickness with a small white foamy head softly dissipating. Semi-thick ring of lace softly stuck to the glass.
The aroma had a lush sweet glazed tropical fruity meshing with some juicy hops and pulling in a subtle bitter underneath, slight pine.
The flavor leaned into the sweetness of the blend of those aromas. Substantial bitterness tries to round out the edges, does it? Somewhat, I say. Ample amount of juicy stifled sweet tropical fruity character in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a tad under. Carbonation felt good for a New England styled IPA. ABV felt as projected by the brewer. Semi-crisp yet bitter finish of the tropical juiciness.
Overall, it's a New England styled IPA alright, and to me I could see myself coming back to.

This is a really, really good beer. It’s hazy NE style so it shows strong elements of being dry hopped and is therefore very citrus forward in the smell and is dry and flavorful on the palette with tons of the floral and citrus characteristics with the little of the piney dankness.

This isn’t the most scientific of reviews but the bottom line is this: big huge juicy smell and flavor—a sort of substitute for a Tree House style hazy beer.

Love Hazy IPA pours a hazy golden yellow with a small 1-finger head that retains just a touch of spotty lacing. Big smell which is fruit forward with juicy pineapple, grapefruit and orange with a touch of pine dankness and floral notes. Taste is off, it's watery and weak with very little juicy flavor that was on the nose. There is a rind bitterness that creeps in and is tasted through the swallow, which finishes dry. Not impressed with this west coast hazy offering.

Really nice drinkin’ beer. Can’t believe it is over a month old from a can. That is enough time to ruin lesser beers. Love the clean finish after a fruity and bitter ride. Not the prettiest beer, but it has a great body. I really love beers that master the balance between simcoe and more fruit forward hops. Really enjoy this one.

Canned 07/19/18

Appearance - Pours hazy and pale yellow-orange with a white, half finger width head that displays poor retention before dying down to a mostly barren surface and a razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. No lacing.

Smell - Aroma hits on equal notes of dank, pineapple and citrus. Hints of melon emerge as it warms.

Taste - Follows the nose. Ample notes of pine, pineapple, grapefruit and juicy orange upfront and throughout. Subtle hints of melon. Distant bready malt sweetness. Finish lingers with light grapefruit pith, melon and a touch of spice.

Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick texture with a slightly dry finish, though it tends to flatten out quickly.

Overall - Pretty good hazy. I'm not a huge Simcoe fan just due to the usual dank pine notes that accompany it, but it wasn't a killer for me here. That said, there are plenty of amazing hazy brews to be had for equal or less, so I'm likely one and done with this one.

I’m a New Englander, and I’m partial to our IPAs.
However, this is the first beer I’ve tasted from this California brewery and it’s excellent.
It’s not really West Coast style, closer to a NEIPA.

Look: cloudy golden color, with a 4F head. In a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Nice aroma. Not floral, but excellent citrus, including an OJ aroma.

MF is excellent- thicker body than most IPAS, making it easy to drink while retaining the overall character of the beer.

I really enjoyed the flavor blend in the taste. Citrus, without any identifiable flavors. Different taste approach than other brewers using Mosaic ,Simcoe, and Citra.

Sharp hoppy finish.

Looking forward to tasting more of their beers.
