Love Hazy IPALove Hazy IPA
Notes: LOVE is bursting with hoppy tropical flavors. Built on a simple base of Pilsner malt and rolled oats, this super dank IPA has a pillowy mouthfeel and is double dry-hopped with Mosaic, Citra and Simcoe. Flavors of mango, cantaloupe, and citrus will keep you infatuated.

This can was zinging with fresh pine aromas as soon as a I opened the can. A well-balanced hazy with the usual yellow fruit notes, approachable and very enjoyable. Would love to try this on tap! Good stuff.

Cloudy with a white-hued, light gold color. Lasting rim bubbles with ample spots and streaks for lace.

Harsher prickly cut weed aroma which covers the pale malt base.

A bit watery but the carbonation is lower than expected so it comes close to working. Here, the malt stands up. I would describe this as leaning malty even though the hop is present in a balancing way. Decently lasting aftertaste.

Pours a hazy straw color with a thin white head. Smell was floral ,citrus dank hops. Taste was citrus and baked bread malts some melon and dank garden hops. Mouth feel smooth with minimal bitterness. Liked this IPA for its lack of sweeetness it was a bit thin for the style.

L: Cascades of slowly rising bubbles fill this hazy gold IPA under a 1.5" off-white foam cap with a very fine bead and good retention,.

S: It smells of tropical fruit, melon and biscuit with a hint of onion or garlic.

T: Varied and complex tropical fruit flavors with tangerine, mango, orange rind, and a little tropical fruit punch. there is a trace of tartness on the finish. There is a hint of nuts. Hop bitterness is medium high.

F: Very creamy, juicy, medium plus body, medium carbonation.

O: An interesting full flavored beer where all the flavors work well together.

This is pretty similar to fruit juice. Personally I would like a little bit more bitterness at the end, but I'll take fruit juice on a hot day by the beach.

Look: cloudy light yellow with a finger thick white head

Aroma: grapefruit, mango, fruit-juice

Taste: The flavor is tropical fruit, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, tangerine, (citra/mosaic) with a slight grapefruit rind like hop bite (simcoe) at the end, but not much. No hint of the alcohol.

Body/Overall: light to medium body - fruit juice

16 oz. Can
CANNED: 01/04/19

Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice cloudy yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, mango, cantaloupe), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, pineapple, cantaloupe), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake! Nice to see it around here.

A: The beer is very hazy amber yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a patch of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of cantaloupe melon are present in the nose along with hints of lime citrus.
T: The taste has flavors of pine and cantaloupe melon along with notes of mangos and lime citrus. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied, juicy and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer isn't nearly as juicy compared to other New England IPAs but is easy to drink and very flavorful.

Yeah, this one is pretty basic. Maybe even a bit one dimensional. That being said, it’s not like the main man is hurting for something better. This one is pretty much like my baby mama in a one piece; it’s like, yeah, girl, looking good. But if your main man had his druthers, he’d rather ol BM slap on a Victoria’s Secret bikini on instead. So, it’s passable, but it also doesn’t make me want to whistle while I work, ya feel me?

Nice look, very light with no nose or head. Good flavor, and an easy drinker however it could use a bit more pop.

A: Pours a very hazy pale to medium golden yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate amber + bright yellow + honey colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy bright white head that quickly reduces to a couple of small to medium sized patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of extremely thin film covering a little more than 85% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of juicy tropical/mango, citrus/grapefruit, citrus/lime, and tropical/melon hops over the top of light aromas of biscuit + bready + caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there is a light flavor of biscuit + bready + caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by a slightly stronger than moderate flavor of juicy tropical/mango, citrus/grapefruit, citrus/lime, and tropical/melon hops which impart minimal amounts of bitterness which fades quickly leaving a lingering juicy tropical + citrus hop flavor.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a light amount of soft/fluffy mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Not quite a juicy or fluffy as other examples of the NEIPA style but still has a very pleasant tropical + citrus hop profile.

Canned 07/19/18

Appearance - Pours hazy and pale yellow-orange with a white, half finger width head that displays poor retention before dying down to a mostly barren surface and a razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. No lacing.

Smell - Aroma hits on equal notes of dank, pineapple and citrus. Hints of melon emerge as it warms.

Taste - Follows the nose. Ample notes of pine, pineapple, grapefruit and juicy orange upfront and throughout. Subtle hints of melon. Distant bready malt sweetness. Finish lingers with light grapefruit pith, melon and a touch of spice.

Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick texture with a slightly dry finish, though it tends to flatten out quickly.

Overall - Pretty good hazy. I'm not a huge Simcoe fan just due to the usual dank pine notes that accompany it, but it wasn't a killer for me here. That said, there are plenty of amazing hazy brews to be had for equal or less, so I'm likely one and done with this one.
