This is NOT a kettle sour! Peach Sournova is the second release in our Sournova Series. This naturally conditioned, mixed-culture sour ale was aged for months with twelve thousand pounds of sustainably grown California peaches and nectarines from Blossom Bluff Orchard.
This bright, tart, and super fruity space juice is out-of-this-world tasty.

16oz can. Canned 05/17/21.
Mostly clear, golden with an amber/orange tinge. Flash of carbonation leaves behind a thin ring. Smell is powerful, peach tartness. Smell is similar, maybe a little oak and fun.
Taste is funky, earthy, peachy sweet-tart. Light bitterness reminds me of fruit skin.
Mouthfeel is medium to light, smooth and clean. Nice beer.

Wonderful nose! While it’s sharp and lightly funky, the peaches and vanilla come through in a sweet, earthy blend. The overall result is a fruity, sweet, yet complex aroma.
Very similar on the palate. Peach, nectarine, oak, vanilla, cream, moderate funk, and mild to moderate sourness and acidity.

Canned 6/30/20 and poured into a teku. Attractive golden yellow pour with a bubbly but short-lasting head and the tiniest ring of lacing. Smell is quite good, with the peaches clearly noticeable, but not overwhelmingly so. Taste is refreshing and lightly tart, with peaches and a little bit of funk. Very smooth. Feel is on the thin side. Good beer overall.

White cloud of foam over hazy gold pour. Clear that this is not a sour right off the bat, oak aging balances sweet and sour in a delicious brew made for the summer. The natural taste of peaches is perfect--not too much, not too little.

Pours a lightly hazy gold with 2 fingers of fluffy white head that dissipates quickly, decent lacing
A nice oaky funk leads the aroma, jammy and lightly tart peaches to follow, vanilla gets a bit lost in the fold. I also pick up raspberries and a light peppercorn character
Damn these flavors work really well together. Starts off with a sweet fruit note before the light tartness takes over, pushing the barrel and sour fruit notes to the forefront. The vanilla is more apparent here, especially on the finish, where it washes over the tongue in waves, starting with a woodiness and alternating with a sort of vanilla soaked peach and pear vibe, more complex than I was expecting
This light bodied brew is less carbonated than I was expecting, but still feels tart on the tongue, finishing off-dry and just a touch sweet
Overall I really enjoyed this. I like the declaration of "This is NOT a kettle sour" to distinguish from other nearby choices at the liquor store. Definitely huge in character and flavor, I could see myself getting down with this one a lot

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 10/21/2019. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy peaches, fruit fuzz/skin/pits, lemon, lime, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of vanilla, peppercorn, musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of peaches, fruity/funky/spicy/acidic yeast, oak barrels, vanilla, and pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy peaches, fruit fuzz/skin/pits, lemon, lime, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of vanilla, peppercorn, musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy peaches, fruit fuzz/skin/pits, lemon, lime, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, peppercorn, light musty/lacto funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of peaches, fruity/funky/spicy/acidic yeast, oak barrels, vanilla, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a fantastic malt/tart/tangy/spiciness balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/tangy/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and fairly acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 5.8%. Overall this is an incredible fruited sour/wind ale. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of peaches, fruity/funky/spicy/acidic yeast, oak barrels, vanilla, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. Amazing balance of juicy/jammy peaches, and Brett/bacteria complexity; with great oak presence, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Mild residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing spot on style example as expected. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Cloudy amber body with a highly carbonated but thin white head. Smell is laced with peach, nectarine, and oak, with mild flowers, brett, and lemon. Taste starts sweet with the citrus, then the kettle souring hits, then a funky middle note of I guess boozy brett, then recovers to a sour oak and peach finish. Feel is thin, but heavy, with the fruits cloying a little here and there
