ParkSide 23 opened about three months ago in the old Sticks & Stones location. I've visited twice now and have enjoyed each time.

The atmosphere leans contemporary but the place has a relaxed feel to it. The bar area is quite large so finding a spot to hang out even on a busy Friday night isn't a problem.

Service while at the bar on my first visit was very good. The bartender was polite and knowledgeable. Our second visit was so-so on the service front. Our waiter wasn't very knowledgeable of the menu or beer list. He also didn't enter one of our food orders correctly. Minor stuff overall.

The real attraction to this place is the beer - 20 microbrews on tap with no BMC to be found (they do have Bud and Miller products in bottles). Highlights include Dogfish Head 90 Min., Goose Island Matilda, Hinterland Luna Stout, Dark Horse Scotty Karate Scotch Ale and Southern Tier 2xIPA. Their New Glarus and Sprecher taps rotate. Beer prices are in the $5 - $7 range per pint with flights available in the $7 - $10 range. One cool thing about this place is that they serve your beer in the breweries' glassware.

The food is very good and reasonably priced. Once summer comes they plan on harvesting veggies and herbs from a large garden behind the restaurant and using them in as many dishes as possible. There's also a nice size patio that will be perfect for kicking back a cold brew on a warm summer's night.

Brookfield has a ton of restaurants but none that specialize in serving a large variety of good beer on tap. Thankfully this place has changed that.

A gem in the Milwaukee burbs. Above average food and great WI beer selection.

I'll admit that I'm a fool for a place that sources locally, whether it's beer, or food, or in the case of Parkside 23, both. On top of this, they are farm to table, with their farm located next to the restaurant. The atmosphere is dark and comfortable on the inside. There is plenty of outdoor seating for the warm summer nights. The staff is knowledgeable and the service attentive but not clingy. Best of all, there is a nice selection of Wisconsin beers. In addition to the standard Spotted Cow, there are over a dozen beers available from large (Sprecher, Goose Island) to small (St. Francis) breweries. The food is reasonably priced and very good (but not great) with most entrees under 19. The mango flatbread presented a nice flavor combination but was a bit sweet, roasted shrimp well prepared but a standard preparation, and the lamb osso bucco was a bit bland. This should dissuade you from coming here, though. With the beer selection good enough to get you in the door, the food is an added bonus

Had dinner here the other night.

Very classy upscale decor. As we pulled in I was almost intimidated by the look of the place. Once inside we felt a bit more comfortable. Classy but not pretentious. Greeted and seated instantly.

The beer list wasn't the biggest I've seen but well thought out. Plenty of different styles to choose from. They also offered flights arranged by theme. Kinda cool. I ordered a Moon Man.

Our server was prompt and very enthusiastic. Always a plus in my book.

The food was the shining star for me. Four cheese mac and a cheese burger that melted in my mouth.

Overall a very nice place for some organic and very tasty food. With a solid craft list to boot.

Great selection of craft taps and you don't have to drive all the way to Milwaukee, that was the main thing about this place that grabbed my attention. Was pretty busy on Friday night around 6PM, but we managed to snag some seats at the bar. By 9PM it was pretty quiet. The bartenders seemed to know their stuff.

I didn't get any food, but from what I saw people eating it looks amazing.

Prices were very reasonable; beers were $4.50-$7. They also have beer flights available for $10 if I remember correctly; you can get a prepicked one or build your own. Food is broken into categories by price, which was interesting. Will be going back for sure to try the food and the rest of the beers.
