Quite an eclectic crowd here , part of the reason i like this place so much, place is split up into 3's if you count the back porch area, A nice selection of craft beer with emphasis on local with nice regional support. Had a very good hamburger plate with very good service. Place can get very busy on weekends, with a small parking lot and overflow across the street. You can park on side streets. The NE has become a mecca for beer spots and breweries in the past 5 years and Stanleys has kept pace, it a place to visit.

Stanley's used to be a dive bar in NE, the remodeling has brought about decent changes. A focus on craft breweries, both local and from elsewhere, has made Stanley's a desination to visit when in NE MPLS.

Not a lot of parking on-site, but plenty to be had in the neighborhood.

Good craft beer selection;constantly being updated, with an eclectic crowd.

Food is good, if a little overpriced for the neighborhood. $10 for a cheeseburger is a little excessive in NE MPLS.

Attentive service, more than willing to explain beers of which you may not be familiar.

Overall: worth a visit.

I like places like this. Big open bar with ample seating. One thing I like is that they have their rotating beers on a chalkboard. A couple tvs. Their selection is quite nice, with Deschutes, Goose Island, a bunch of regionals, and just a few macros. The service is friendly, though I never got my water, even after I asked a couple times. The food is pretty good. Beer is fresh and served in appropriate glassware. Prices are pretty good (like $12 a lunch, $5 a beer). Worth a lunch if you are in the area.

Stopped here after getting a shuttle from ABR.

The place is very clean and updated. Pretty well laid out place. Not a huge bar, but the atmosphere was nice. Very large chalkboard display of the 32 taps on hand. A nice well rounded selection of craft beers from around the country. Seemed to be mostly american choices which is just fine. Our waitress was very helpful and courteous. Prices seemed to be right on par for what was being served. I wouldn't call this a destination place or anything, but if in the area, it makes for a nice beer stop.

Visited this establishment with my brother-in-law whom lives in Northeast. Atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon was a bit hipster, but everyone seemed in good spirits. The place was quite busy, though it seemed like mostly a lunch crowd, and I was there for some beer. A great selection on tap especially for regional beers. I think they had around 30 tap beers to choose from, including Minnesota's own Summit, Grain Belt, Schell's, Brau Bros. As well as other standards (Lagunitas, Bells, Leinenkugels.) Service wasn't great, but in all fairness, they were pretty busy. However, when you and a friend are sitting right at the bar, you would expect my glass to fill more quickly than it did. Staff was polite and knowledgeable about the beers though. I only had an appetizer for food (Walleye Bites) but they were very nice. Overall, I think i Would be willing to give them another try.

Stanley's Northeast Bar Room definitely has that Nordeast feel to it. There is always a nice mixed crowd there: young and old, hipsters and hippies, locals and transients. The tap selection is darn good with 32 taps total most of which are devoted to solid craft options. They carry all the local Twin Cities breweries, even the really small new ones like Harriet and Fulton. They also have a nice variety of American craft beer from outside Minnesota including Odell, Bells, Alaskan, Brooklyn, and Goose Island. The food I've had there has all been done well. It is regular bar fair with some nice bar-b-que options. I highly recommend the brisket. Service has been good to great on my visits. Some of the bartenders really know their stuff when it comes to the beer, and some don't. However, they have all been very prompt with getting drinks/food, and have all been very good at checking in to see if anything is needed. Overall, I really like Stanley's, and will go back regularly.

Average plate $9 -$15

Good daily specials for $10 and under, and a great breakfast. The brisket fajitas are great.

The atmosphere is great general age 25-50 during the day and into the evening but turns into a hipster spot later at night to fit in with the nordeast lifestyle.

Beer selection: Great tap selection, they do seasonal beers and themes to go with the holidays. I think they did 7 or 10 Irish beers around Paddy day. It would be great to see Bitch Creek on tap, I love that tasty beer!

Overall I think its definitely worth stopping by any time of the day, great staff, good food and great beer.
