Had this on tap at craft house. Color was a dark reddish-amber, just what you want. Flavor had notes of coffee, malt, and pine. Mouthfeel was a bit grating, but for a strong red to be expected. Pretty good!

I've had this twice on tap in the past few months. I found it to be pretty good, but one restaurant tap yielded an unfortunate odd/dank taste in the hop. At a local Craft House, it was excellent -- like a hoppy IPA.

Haha strange looking beer, cheap, thanks to rudzud.
Decent creamy foamy head fades fairly quickly after erupting from the bottle, nice lacing, hazy rosy reddish auburn color.
Nose dark reddish malts, burnt caramel, toffee, candy syrup, biscuity, lots of weird crackers, biscuity wheat toffee, some earthy spicy hops, touch of dark fruits, tons of reddish syrupy malts, little chalky.
Taste is yeasty and watery, thin reddish malt, toffee caramel syrup, mild dark fruits, plenty of esters, some wheat toffee biscuit, cracker, paper, little copper metallic thing, into a weird bitter hop extract.
Mouth is thin and watery, nice carb at least, gritty too.

Shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark crystal clear honey amber hue with a nice one finger off white head that fades to leave a thin blanket.
S - Aromas of huge malty caramel sweetness. Biscuits, weird onion thing.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, caramel malts, biscuits, cracker grains, there is some nice bitterness on the finish. Really generic.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, crisp, though a bit heavy.
O - Overall this beer was rather underwhelming which was to be expected. Still, unfortunate.

L: red/amber/autumn
S: caramel, black licorice, love in fall
T: bitter, dark chocolate, hoppy
F: full bodied, not too thick
Yum, good, available year round. Go to on tap at New Albanian Bank Street Brewhouse. Good for a fill every other week or so.
