12oz canned 5/8/18 (63 days ago) poured into an bow tie glass at fridge temp 5.1% ABV per can label. The beer pours almost bright straw yellow with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and leaves no lacing. The aroma is very light clove followed by banana. The taste is semisweet banana first with clove coming in behind. No hint of hop bitterness or flavor. Mouthfeel is medium to thin bodied, adequately carbonated and undry in the finish. Overall, ok. It actually suits me as I am not a huge fan of pronounced banana in these beers. My wife loves it. The bubblegum notes come out as it warms.

Served from 12 oz can into a small weizen glass at Swig and Swine BBQ restaurant in West Ashley SC. Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a very small white head and minimal lacing (frosted glass). Aroma and flavor include plenty of yeast and wheat bitterness. Some spicing, cloves and a little banana but it is more Witbier than Hefe. Mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing. Probably a better choice for a summer day outdoors than with a heavy BBQ dinner, but I still enjoyed it. The flavor held up fine.

I'm not a wheat fan but I picked up a sixer for a day on Sullivan's Island and it went very well with a hot day and a lazy surf. Not a ton of yeasty Flavors like clove or peppercorn but more a bubblegum and wheat malt. Very light feel but not watery, I drank through all six with very little damage and a good time.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy, pale egg yolk-colored body with an inch of airy foam. It's a nice lookin' wheat.

Smell: Cereal sweet tinged wheat with a very scant toastiness. Light lemon, 'nana. Touches of clove and a faint kiss of herb.

Taste: Wheat malt, just a bit bready and a little bit of crisp toastiness. Medium-low sweetness. Soft lemon, banana and clove converge at the mid-point. Very low hop character, bitterness. The flavors just sort of drift away as you head towards the finish with a final lil' zip of suds.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation. Slight creaminess to the mouthfeel.

Overall: It's a decent enough wheat.

Straw colored with a white, though short-lived, head.
Smell is sweet, malty, bready with hints of apple & white grape. Nicely balanced but a touch overly sweet.
Taste is almost a direct copy of the olfactory picture, malt, bready, sweet, apple, grape & light honey notes mixed thoroughly. Sweetness is a bit overdone but not enough to whinge about.
Body is over medium but not far, carbonation is restrained for the style but not overly so. Good stuff.

Can poured into a weizen glass.

4.0 A: Moderate hazed golden color. One and a half fingers of frothy/creamy off-white head. Retention is about average and a half finger of lacing is left.

3.75 S: Neutral wheat and peppery spiciness. Wildflower herbalness and a dry woodiness - a bit like a saison in this regard. Lemon zest to round it out.

3.75 T: Pretty earthy for a wheat beer. Hops also add a mild grassiness and a slight citrus. Neutral wheat, on the drier side. Again there's some herbalness and woodiness.

3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Carbonation is a bit bity rather than spritzy. Could also use more creaminess.

3.75 D: Solid APWA overall. Interesting flavor profile that I don't see too often in the style.

The Wash Out wheat is decent.....easy to drink....a fun in the sun type beverage. It poured a clear golden for me....when I washed the can out....there was massive sediment.....so I am guessing it probably pours hazy for most....it had white head and not much lace. The scent carried a hint of biscuit and lemon. The taste carried good citrus. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with decent carbonation. Overall it was fine.

From a can. A gift from a friend who was down South recently. Poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: Hazy golden color. A nice creamy thick off-white foam head that left good sticky lacing.

Smell: Sweet, yeasty and wheat are the main aroma profiles, just a hint of fruit.

Taste: Very solid and straight-up wheat and yeast flavors. A nice sweet a creamy beer with some nice fruit and spice from the yeast. A very nice light wheat beer flavor. The yeast isn't as banana-clove forward as a German Hefeweizen, but it's close enough for an American wheat beer.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and creamy. Slick and sweet. Just like a good wheat beer should be.

Overall: A good and simple American wheat beer done well. A lot here to like and nothing to dislike. I would drink this again, and would love to try it fresh on tap.

A: Pours a cloudy medium golden yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation, moderate amounts of fine yeast particles in suspension, and faint honey colored highlights. The beer has a half finger tall sudsy foamy off-white head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of wheat malts with light to moderate aromas of lemon citrus, banana, and clove.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of wheat malts with a slight hint of sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of lemon citrus and moderate flavors of banana with a hint of clove. Minimal amounts of bitterness are observed.

M: Light to medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Overall a decent Americanized hefeweizen beer - easy to drink and refreshing. Worth grabbing, nothing outlandish here just a solid easy drinker for the summer.

L: nothing special going on here
S: some funk, don't know what that is
T: better than most American wheat efforts, got a little spice, no banana
F: best part of the beer, nice mouthfeel, it lingers for a while on the tongue
O; ok as a lawnmower beer

2014 GABF Bronze medal winner. Pours a hazy golden, as expected for the style. World Class head, very good lacing and retention.

Nice nose of classic Hefeweizen. A bit light in intensity, but notes of clove, yeast, banana and subtle lemon like citrus.

Light medium body with a very smooth texture that borders on creamy. Slightly above normal carbonation with nice effervescence in the finish.

The flavor profile has very good complexity and is outstanding in terms of intensity and balance. It begins with a blend of classic Hefeweizen flavors that separate into banana with a clove undertone, then flow into a slightly tart lemon with clove becoming more pronounced. In the middle, a subtle bitterness emerges against a slightly tart background. As the bitterness subsides towards the finish, a grainy biscuit like sweetness provides balance underneath. The finish is crisp and leaves you with a slight tart pucker against the fading previous flavors. Let this one warm up to near room temperature to experience it and you'll see why it's a medal winner.

Overall a fine hereweizen. Floral forward with very light splash of citrus to go with the wheat, clove and banana, though muted compared to normal. Not something to have again, but fine

A: Poured from a can to a weizen glass. Had an orange-brown color and a cloudy consistency. There was an inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.

S: An average aroma of wheat, malt, and some citrus. Smelled a bit astringent.

T: Tasted much like it smelled: Some wheat, a bit of lemon, and an overabundance of malt in the finish. The problem with the flavor here is that it's pretty thin and watery. None of the ingredients seems to be aggressive enough.

M: A good amount of carbonation with a thin finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This particular style doesn't always lend itself to brilliance, though some beers occasionally shine through. Washout Wheat has some good qualities, but tends to be a bit on the bland side.

This is a fantastic Hefeweizen, It was served in a Pint Glass and had a perfect dark golden color and a strong clean aroma. the first sip matched the last one and that can be a hard trick for many beers to pull off. Hefeweizen is one of my favorite styles of brew and I have sampled many across Europe in my military days and this would compete with the best. I would go out of the way to pick up some if it was available.

Poured a clearish yellow body that had some cloudiness with a fizzy two finger head that died quick and left tiny lace. Standard aroma of spice and lemon citric zip, and the taste is more of the same as a smooth, yeasty body that passes over the tongue easily gives off a spicy zest and citric zip. Not the most flavorful beer of this style (borders wheat ale and a witbier to be honest) but is easy to drink and is not watery; has a good taste. Worth a shot.
