Draft at the old taproom into a snifter, October 2012 review entered from notes. Hazy golden in color with a lightly retained head. This blend combines the lemony, bretty, sour saison of the standard Surette with a portion of grape kombucha. The addition seems to really smooth out the big acidity of the parent beer, now offering a balanced tartness, grape juice, a touch of herbal tea, and a light sweetness. Mildly funky and earthy with straw and citrus. Lighter in body with low carbonation. I appreciate the blend - an interesting one to try.
