May 2015 bottling date.
Light and bubbly feel. Funky, almost manure. Very barnyardy. The passionfruit is still there but mixed in nicely is also ruby red grapefruit. Tastes like the soda Squirt. Surprisingly not sour and only a little tartness. This was pretty enjoyable even at 6 years.

Gold in color with with a fingernail of dishwater white around the rim and a few wisps here and there. The aroma is of refreshing passion fruit and a touch of brettanomyces. I’m tasting passion fruit and oak. The mouth is crisp, moderately carbonated, and refreshing.

Loving the "Petite Sour" series relies on a sour base taste and a calm brininess to carry the load. But a hint of tropical fruit gives the series a dry succulence and a sharp acidity that entices the tastebuds further.
The Passion Fruit Petite rounds the nose with the usual sour suspects of lemon, apple and wine-like must, sea air, light cereal and balsa woods. Pale pach in its color, the beer's broken froth is eggshell and creamy with a moderate lacy appearance. Flavors of wheat bread and lightly malts shed a hint of confectioner's sugar before the brunt of sourness arrives.
Bright and pleasantly tart on the middle palate, its the underlying fruit flavors that strike first. Lemon, lime, crabapple, white grape, gooseberry and grapefruit are all the things under-ripened berry, citrus, vinous of white wine and dry like French cider. But once the passionfruit brings its kiwi, papaya, pineapple character, the taste turns from the orchard and vineyard to the tropics. An herbal and bitter finish brings the taste back to grapefruit and citrus pith along with a pleasant grassiness and a gentle cellar-like waft.
Dry, light and again- highly refreshing, the taste is tight, brisk and sudden as the beer's strong acidity pangs away at the tastebuds and then lifts for a quick and clean aftertaste and only remnants of wheat and burlap drifting behind.

Cloudy, golden-straw color with a small, white head. Signature sour, slightly funky Crooked Stave aroma with the fruit subtly underneath. Whatever passion fruit that may have been lost in the nose is more than made up for in the taste; more tart than sour really, which gives the softness of the passion fruit a chance to come through more. Seltzer-like ending is a perfect fit. One of my favorite CS beers so far.
