This is the best thing crooked stave has done in some time. Bright citrus from the kumquat meets intense hippiness from the centennial in a wild ale with the perfect blend of funk and tartness. Hazy pale orange straw colored with a fading half inch of last white foam. The nose and taste are bitter, like biting into the outside if an orange, and really zesty and bright from the fruit. The yeast Is lemony and light, real dry beer, barnyard funk and pucker. The hops are way more intense in the aroma than the flavor, playing off the citrus there, but being lost to it in the taste. Not a lot of kumquat beer out there, so this is unique and awesome, great fruit to feature. One of a kind, elite level stuff no doubt. I want more!

Pours a hazy peach color. Orange and peach notes give the beer a great citrus flavor. Slightly tart.

375 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy light orange body with a small white head. Settles to nothing.

Smell - Lots of citrus. Lemon. Tropical fruits. Musty brett. Has a little bit of a wine barrel aroma.

Taste - Citrus and a lot of tartness. Kumquat comes out much stronger here. Woody and bretty.

Mouthfeel - Light and pleasantly sour. Medium low carbonation.

Overall - Not quite the beer that Batch 60 was, but it's got a nice fruit and tart flavor.

Probably one of the best Crooked Stave beers I've had, and I like most of them.

Pours a peach yellow orange with a light fast fading white head.

Nose is all citrus fruit with layers of stone fruits, peaches, apricots, nectarines. There is an undertone of mango and lots of tropical fruit. The nose is a cornucopia of fruit and great.

Flavors follow the nose in all respects and all of those fruit tones are part of a wonderfully balanced sour/tart wild ale.

This is one of the better beers I've had and certainly a standard by which other CS beers may be judged in the future.
