375ml bottle dated March 2015. Served in a stemmed glass.

Lighter, hazy brownish-pink body. I know the colour combination seems inexplicable, but it's definitely a muddy pink type. One finger white head that is short-lived, minimal retention, no lacing. Smells primarily of raspberries, oak, lemon zest, lactic acidity, fair amount of leathery brett. Not particularly jammy, more nice and dry. Flavour is primarily dry oak, citrus zest transitioning to a brief grainy sweetness with a hefty raspberry flavour on the latter half of the palate that transitions into a lemon acidity. There is a good bit of raspberry but it goes nowhere near the point where it would be considered sweet. Nice dry acidity overall. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, lower in carbonation than I'd like, finishes quite tart and moderately acidic lemon, mildly grainy that lingers for a while. Pretty good stuff. Overall, I liked this one quite a bit; nice raspberry flavours, fair amount of tartness and acidity to it, decent complexity. I would have liked more carbonation, but as it is, it's very good and the raspberries seem to play well with the base sour ale.

375 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Pink hazy body. Small white head and a thin collar.

Smell - Light raspberry. Smells pretty acidic. More raspberry than anything else, really, but it still isn't very strong.

Taste - Pretty intense sourness. Lemon. Light grain flavor. Raspberry starts as a sour flavor but becomes a little more juicy. The finish is lemon sourness.

Mouthfeel - Medium carbonation. Very light.

Overall - A very pleasant, but simple, beer.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy red/violet color with a pinkish head that sticks nicely and leaves a fair amount of lace

Smell: Tart raspberry tones in the aroma; slight funk

Taste: Raspberry flavor, up front, with a lactic bent; the fruit builds through the middle, with a slightly funky character that adds complexity; tart, but not overwhelmingly so, in the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; slightly puckery

Overall: Bursting with fruit, this is an enjoyable beer that will not knock your socks off in the sour aspect

From a 375 ml bottle (bottled March 2015) to a teku.

A-A normal pour produces a short pink-tinted head. The foam fades quickly leaving a thin collar. No lacing. The beer is very murky and makes me think of guava fruit.

S-The aroma is musty and lightly funky with some nice brett fruitiness instead of outright barnyard funk. Sourness is light to moderate and the raspberry fruit is subtle and tart. This is a smoother CS sour than others I have sniffed.

T-The raspberry fruit comes through more in the in the taste but never gets too strong. There is a light lemony-tart flavor and some nice brett funkiness. Not complex or earth shattering, but nice drinking.

M-The feel is medium in heft and slightly slick. Carbonation is lighter than average.

O-This is a nice drinking sour-ish beer. It will not make you pucker or feel like you have to pick raspberry seeds out of your teeth, but the flavors have good balance and the lower intensity makes this easier to drink than many fruited sours.
