From a waxed 375 ml bottle (Blend No. 1) into a tulip.

A-A normal pour produces a very thin head that drops quickly. The brew is lightly cloudy and cider-colored. There is no visible carbonation.

S-The smell is tart with flavors of sour apple and vinegar. A touch of bread/dough and mild funk, too. Not very brett-forward.

T-The taste is sour, but not mouth-puckering. I get apples, grapes, and a little lemony sweetness. It is a pleasing mixture of fruit, but not very funky or brett-forward.

M-Like many Crooked Stave beers, this one is slightly flat, but the feel is a nice match for the style. Medium bodied.

O-This is a pleasant, balanced sour beer. It is not spectacularly complex or in-your-face flavorful, but it has enough acid to work with food or drink on its own. If you want super funky brett/barnyard flavors (or a cheap beer...this one was $10 or $11 for the 375ml), look somewhere else. But if you want a nice, tart-drinking sour with good orchard fruit flavors, this is a good option.

Thanks to rudzud again.

Light fizzy head fades fairly quickly, hazy pear golden color.

Nose brings tart funk, flesh peach apricot, stone fruit city, peach flesh out the wazoo crazy! Mild Brett funk, juicy fruit and funk, pretty much canned fresh peaches, pit notes, etc.

Taste brings stone fruit and tea, herbal tea, iced tea with tons of peach and apricot, little bitter rind pith like, juicy flesh peach, creamy wheat like malt base. Finish is dry mild bitter rind, lingering fleshy peach and apricot, mild tangy tart funk, etc.

Mouth is med bod, fleshy creamy like, decent carb,

Overall nice, nose was great but taste was lacking the awesomeness, ok.

12.7 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a small white head that goes to a thin film.

The aroma is straw malts, soft tropical fruit, earthy brett and some tart acidic notes.

The flavor is sweet tropical fruit quickly followed by a lot of tart, acidic sourness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Overall, this has aged nicely - nice blend of sweet tropical fruit, earthy brett and tart acidic sourness.

On tap at Beertemple. Clear pale yellow with a thin white head. Smells like gooseberries, white grapes, white wine and macerated fruit. The taste follows the same notes, lightly sour as well as hoppy bitter, with additional notes of tropical fruit and citrus. Light bodied, soft carbonation and a lightly sour and hoppy aftertaste,

A - Golden with a light haze and a small white head

S - Tart lemon, light blue cheese funk, and tart vinegar that gives it a good balance of tart and funk 4.5

T - Green apple, lemon peel, white vinegar and light oak. Reminds me a bit of a sour apple juice. Light blue cheese funk near the backend that balances the tartness 4.25

M - Not much carbonation but has a tart bite from the vinegar and tartness. Finish has a light tingle near the end.

O - Tart and lightly funked sour that has a nice apple presence balanced with a slight blue cheese funk
