L'Brett D'Or by Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project

Poured into a Crooked Stave Snifter Glass from a 12 oz bottle.

Pour: Pours a mostly clear orange/yellow. White bubbly head that dissipates quickly. If you blink, you miss it. No lacing whatsoever

Nose: apple cider vinegar, oak, and just a slight touch of malt

Mouthfeel: very cider like. Light and bubbly

Taste: sweet apple-like notes before tartness sweeps it away. A malty/touch of smokey finish nearly clears the pallet of any sweetness.

Overall: Very clean. Good oak aged sour! Light with a delightful finish. Fairly complex flavor with a good balance of notes. Would buy again on a good payday

Really enjoying this beer, it's sour and tart but has a straw grainy cracker finish. Did a side by side with the dry hopped and this one won the tasting by a landslide

Pour is a somewhat clear, golden yellow hue with a fizzy head that sticks around for a minute. Aroma is super yeasty with that typical funky Brett character. Super fruity nose, apricots, green apple, lemon zest, peaches. Taste is very zesty and bright just as the nose suggests. A little hay funk, a little leathery. Plenty of stone fruit and zestiness. Overall, a solid offering for my first crooked stave beer.

Bottle share. Overly yeasty, in your face Brett, dominates aroma and taste. Light pale golden body, sharp, sour, tangy behind the yeast. Not for the timid.

On tap at Beertemple. Clear pale yellow with a thin white head. Smells like gooseberries, white grapes, white wine and macerated fruit. The taste follows the same notes, lightly sour as well as hoppy bitter, with additional notes of tropical fruit and citrus. Light bodied, soft carbonation and a lightly sour and hoppy aftertaste,
