Bottle to HFS sniffer (thanks to steve_O for the bottle)
A: light golden yellow honey colored, cloudy but not completely opaque by any means. There is a tan to white small head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lacing around the top of this glass. On target for a saison but not perfect
S: you are immediately hit with that barnyard funk familiar smell of the brett it is skunky and filled with horse blanket for sure. There are some more floral notes from the saison hops but they mix in with a similar farmhouse smell. Not the most powerful smell, good but not great.
T: so you can taste the brett funk immediately but it is not sour or really that funky in fact it is quite light it mixes well with nice farmhouse taste that I expect from saison's hops there is a lot of sweetness in the finish that could have come from the oak aging. It has a tartness too it but not sour or a strong flavor perhaps could benefit from some age seems like it would develop.
M: There is a light slightly oily kinda crisp feel. There is a lot of sweetness and it is very drinkable there is very light carbonation but I would not call it flat again good but not great.
O: This is my first experience with Crooked Stave and I am impressed, but definitely more excited to come back for more. If this is notable of their general offerings I will most definitely be back in the future. This is a really solid saison with a proper use of brett it is not unbelievable but solid and very well done I recommend this beer.

375 ml bottle
Served in a tulip glass
2013 Batch 8
It pours a brilliant amber hue with golden highlights. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves decent lacing.
It smells sour, not over-the-top sour, but decently sour. I get some stonefruit and a little funk.
It is sour. I get green apple and a little funk. Sour throughout.
Medium bodied with a dry mouthfeel
Ten years didn't seem to hurt in any. Nice sour saison.

375 ml bottle, as Crooked Stave Surette Provision Saison Artisan Ale Aged in Oak Barrels, 2014 batch 13. ABV is 6.2%. At Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Slightly hazy golden colour, low white head of poor retention. Sourish aroma, strong notes of farmhouse, lemons, white wine vinegar and oak. Very sour and lemony flavour, medium dry, nearly like an unblended lambic, some oaky notes. Not a saison by any stretch of the mind.

L: page honey/wheat with a thin white bread that quickly dissolves into a ring
S: mild lemony citrus with some grape, apple, and bread
T: tart lemon, sour apple, not quite ripe grapes, yeasty funkiness, and oak
F: tart and tingly and dry across the tongue
O: wow, slightly astringent, a little tart, something like a very dry white wine. The oak barrel gives it more body and some tannin, but I would really like to try an unaged version. Overall an excellent farmhouse saison

375ml bottle, cellared for the past 4 years. 2014 date, batch 16.
Vinous white nose with a lot of tropical fruit. Mild but even funk layer. Oaky vanillins. Taste more or less follows suit. Underlying sweet and toasty malt mingles with an easy toffee, toast, and vanilla oak character. Light and even funk layer. Mild tartness. White wine. Peach zest. Medium bodied with some malty firmness and gentle carbonation. Great.

One of the 14 beers we have had in one session of some bad-ass tasting brew.
A bit of funk and lactic acidity for this fruity season. Frank and well crafted
