Pours golden with a shade of red, white head and nice lacing. Nose is Brett forward with a ton of floral (from the violet I assume) character and notes of pomegranate. The esoteric ingredients play nicely together here with notes of funk, tartness and floral qualities. The flavor is similar to the nose with much more fruit character present. Notes of lemon and pomegranate bring on a big citric tartness and are balanced with bretty funk. A hint of white oak and tannic wine character come through at the finish. Mouthfeel is well carbonated and light. Overall, a very nice wild brew from Crooked Stave.

A beautiful beer that still drinks very well but is most likely not quite what it once was. The brightness of flavors and the distinctness and separation of them - based on earlier reviews - has sort of collapsed. If only CS would remake.

Shared with JLindros and Threelions. Bottle 686/1526.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear dark golden hue with a thin head that fades to leave light wisps.

S - Aromas of loads of brett, lavender, great pomegranate notes, great sour notes. Really really great notes.

T - Taste is loads of brett, lavender, great pomegranate notes, very nice floral notes, great brett and floral. The pomegranate pops big time, light acetone notes that I feel world come out more with age which wouldn't be good necessarily.Really balanced.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, good brett tastes.

O - Overall this beer was delicious, great brett note with awesome floral berry notes. Delicious with the right amount of age.
