Thanks to Mike (thorpe429) for sharing this one. Served in a DryHop taster glass.

A - Light pink foam settles to a collar, wisps, and no lace. Hot fuschia transparent body. Reminds me of a car I owned in the early 2000s. I dig it.

S - An intriguing mix of hibiscus, lactic sourness, and sweet malts gives this a definitely lemon and berry flavor combination to it. There's some mild whiskey and spicy oak in the periphery that complements the understated cinnamon addition, but this is mostly fruity and tart.

T - The taste doesn't crackle quite as much, with more sweet malts, nebulous fruits, and mild oak. Doesn't really evince the same level of sourness as the aroma, although it puckers up over time.

M - Very dry, medium body, with moderate-to-low carbonation. Light acidity lingers.

D - I thought this sounded absolutely terrible based on the description, but it was pretty good and miles better than the other beer Crooked Stave beer we tried. I appreciate the restrained and well-integrated cinnamon and hibiscus flavors. I could probably drink an entire 375ml on my own, although I'd have to be in a very odd mood to seek this out.

Served at cellar temp which was suggested on the bottle. Poured into a CS glass. big thanks to my CO guy

A: Brilliant, bright pink/beet red. Almost like a fireball candy. Clear with a tiny bit of bubbles that rise. Poured delicately and this beer is pretty still.

A: initially waft that came of the bottle was of straight up fireball candy. From the glass I get shock tarts, Apples, peaches, whiskey (who would have thought). I hate to use another beer as a reference but this beer has aromatic qualities similar to beatification aside from the cinnamon and whiskey.

T: Super tart blast from the get go. Almost like sour fireballs. I am getting a shock tart like flavor as well but not a particular color. Again with the apples/peaches and I can definitely pick up the whiskey which was hard to do with some of these varieties. The whiskey flavor was not overly harsh and actually quite tasty with the apple mix.

M: clean, smooth, astringent, sugary, lightly carbed.

O: super sour beer with this fruit whiskey / hibiscus cinnamon combo really nailed it. This one was definitely out of the park with no second guess. I really like what the hibiscus did for the color of this beer, it was so brilliant. I am sad because I opened this beer and I don’t have another. I would say that this beer is good to go, or could be laid down for a bit; however I would hate for it to loose any of the qualities it has currently.

Bottle opened on 6.7.13
Batch 7/May/2013

A - Pours a burgundy-pink with a fizzy light pink head that fades quickly and moves to the edges.

S - Tart berries, cinnamon, subtle floral tones.

T - Fruity and tart, Subtle floral and cinnamon. Wow - Dynomite!

D - Good carbonation with a light body.

O - Flower and fruity with a touch of tartness. The cinnamon helps to somehow cut the sweetness.
