On tap for Beachwood Sour Fest at Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach, CA.
Pours a hazy orange-brown with a foamy tan head that fades to nothing. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with malt, vinegar, acidic, and slight wood aromas. Taste is much the same with sour fruit and wood flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer that is tasty and easy to drink but I am not getting any distinct whiskey barrel presence other than some wood.
